Limerick GAA - We get knocked down 🐐

I see young Conor Fitzgerald kicked all 18 points for Ard Scoil today as they beat CBC… He told Limerick to fuck off after the way he was treated last year… the Limerick way.

The Maddens Milk jersey

Tom Ryan on the weather at the '92 league final - “the weather was so bad you wouldn’t hang a gate”

Beating cork in '94

The heartbreak of Offaly in Croke Park :frowning:

Ciaran is a true legend

+1

Lovely clip towards the end, massive catch in his right hand, solo, takes it to his left, solo, handpassed off his right. Class.

What a player. One of the greatest. Was getting emotional with the memories. The outpouring of sheer joy when that final goal went in against Cork in 94:clap::clap:

I had forgotten that Maddens Milk Jersey :D, loved Carey’s description of putting manners on those Banner cunts in 95 :clap::clap:

Pat Fleury hit the nail on the head when he said Carey and Kirby and that great 90’s team not winning an AI was a tragedy.

96 there chap, we won the AI in 95

I subconsciously always mix up those years. Devastating highs and lows for a Limerick fan in primary school at the time.

That '94 game v Cork was something else. Went behind early on and it looked like the same old story. Out of the championship after one game.

A horrible shitty day in the Gaelic Grounds but we dug it out. Joe Quaid & Beefy

Ah teege needs something

:eek::clap::clap:

Good man Joe

Na he told his club to fuck off back in april and said he was going playing rugby but hung around to maybe get an all ireland medal out of the minors but was dropped coz his dad made him work in the shop he owns the nights the minors were trainning and missed a pile especially coming to the ire final.

The father was apparently telling everyone and anyone how to raise their kids and said he’d show young conor real life by ensuring he couldn’t train.

As Ciaran said tonight no love no club…

His da must be a right cunt

I reckon he was looking to be interviewed by rte before the six nations debut “you won a minor hurling all ireland but didn train as you had work but how important was that in making you the rugby player you are today”

I remember playing against John Fitz (his dad). He used to play full back for Claughan .Tough as fuckin nails. Got a serious head injury playin in the Harty final for Sextons St and never really came back from it. I dont think either of the boys ( i think there are 2 sons) togged out for Claughan this year. living in roaster land over the border. Dont be harsh on minors ffs.

Dont no anything about him bt was also reliably informed loads of underage limerick players worked in the shop and he used to have them working when limerick were in championship action last year.

The other brothers have moved to clare clubs i hear for this season.

Including Cian Lynch (worked in the shop that is).
A pity if they have transfered but the future of hurling with Claughan wouldnt entice them to stay.

Not sure who did or who didn never been near the place.

St pats, claughann, old christians together wouldn’t match na piarsigh or monaleen at say underage level anymore. At least if you join 3 junior clubs in the west like deel rangers they are competitive.
