Limerick GAA - We get knocked down 🐐

Waterford have their shit sorted out finally, they may very well win the AI provided they can keep relatively injury free. Lovely balance to the team.

Many at it?

Score lads?

scores level 2-10 to 0-16

wd 1 up

LK 2 up

Draw 2-15 to 0-21.

We will have to take that given the team and the game ‘plan’

Thank fuck we have players to come in. But our sideline had a poor night on tactics.

Would gladly have taken a point at half time.

A draw was fair in the end. They were better in the first half, we were better in the second. A bit of a sickener to concede an equaliser with the last puck of the game but we fought manfully to get back into it after a diabolical first half.

Jim Bob changed the game when he came on at half time. Bossed the game. Stephen Walsh had probably his best ever game for us.

Probably should have seen it out in the end but we are still alive. We were missing practically our whole first choice forward line. Lacked a bit of class and composure that a Hannon, Downes or Dowling would provide.

Crowd of just over 3,500 in what was a decent game of hurling.

Austin Gleeson is a Rolls Royce of a hurler.

Was gav good at cf? Sounds promising?

Have ye promotion blown already lads??

Target will be to avoid relegation

He single handedly kept us in the game in the first half. Tired in the second half, his influence waned but still finished with 0-05 from play and worked like a dog. A conundrum down the line where to play him. I’d still favour him at wing back and Dec Hannon at 11 but on tonight he has very valid claims to the centre forwards jersey now.

We’ll really struggle in Wexford Park without him. Kilmallocks success has inadvertently hurt us and could in the end cost us promotion.

Desperately need a few bodies back in the forward line.

Waterford have the makings of an excellent side.

What’s wrong with Downes and Dowling?

Were Gleeson and GOM marking each other? Gleeson has some ability for a 19 year old

Jim-Bob is an absolutely warrior of a man, such an intelligent hurler, and dragged us back into that game. If we had him from the start, I think we’d have won it, he was that good.

Would agree with dodgy in that if we had any of Hannon, Dowling, Downes, Mulcahy, even Breen or Tobin, it would have made a huge difference to our attack which was pretty blunt, bar Gavin. Not sure Begley is up to it, Adrian Breen never really got the better of his man, Lynch seemed to struggle to get onto the ball although he showed a few nice touches at the same time. Tactics were very very one-dimensional in the first half… just land it down on top of Begley and it didn’t work at all after the first penalty.

In the end, we had momentum and arguably should have won it… I thought we had done it after a monster score from Richie Mc. But Waterford looked decent- nice, nippy team and they get their heads up with good stickwork. Seem to be moving in the right direction but I thought De Búrca was head and shoulders above everyone else on the field.

Very. As dodgy said he is going to cause management headaches as to where to place him.

Injured and ill respectively. Dowling looks very fit.

Gleeson marked Lynch. Lynch had a spectacular pick run and pass off for a point (which was whistled back for free). He just does some outrageously good things. He’ll be up to it for summer I reckon.

Dodge was poor at wing back. Woke up a bit at wing forward for a moment then was taken off. It’s hard to see where he will fit into the team. Jimbob turned the game and our first team players like Browne, Gavin, condon, wayne and richie drove us back into the game. Walsh was also very good.

They couldn’t get them out of supermacs on time
