Thereās enough decent players thereā¦ Laois are a good side but I think itās worth giving a few players one last chance to earn a spot.
I just worry that the selection of Begley means weāre just going to pump high ball in. The two corner-forwards will struggle unless given decent possession. Iād like to see us play more of a running game. Quick, direct ball but accurate; but with plenty of support from runners all the time. Move the opposition around.

To be fair weāve no choice but to throw a few of these lads in this weekend given we are missing so many through suspension (Dowling), injuries (Hickey, Condon, Downes, Wayne Mac (?) and the continuing unavailability of the Kilmallock lads.
Been a very stop start league campaign for a number of reasons, never had anything close to a full strength or settled team.

In fairness, we havenāt had a full-strength team in the league for years; everyone insisted this year was one we needed to develop the panel in some way. And we did- if we win the AI, weāre not going to care about the league. And to kick on and win the AI, we needed more players to be able to trust in the heat of Championship.
The likes of Tipp & Cork look to have strengthened; KK & Clare are struggling somewhat but KK in particular are testing lots of less established players too; Galway have added a few too; Dublin have a lot of positional switches and Waterford look to be building a very decent, young team.
So weāre not alone.
Style of play is a possible worry but I think that in the Championship last year, we played good hurling. It wasnāt the most complex but it worked and it wasnāt just lump the ball to the full-forward either. It could be improved upon and I was hoping that would happen.
In terms of newcomers, who would you trust to do a job for the Championship? Condon in a new role- yes. Lynch as a sub at least. Maybe Seanie OāBrien, David Reidy, Dan Morrissey & Tom Morrissey as panel members.

With TJ āwhack itā Ryan in charge you could have your pick of the country and still lose.
Iām disappointed with that team. Fb line is fine but all is and hannon at HB again. Surely Dave been could be an answer a wing back? Midfield great but forwards? Lynch should be starting maybe corner f
Hannon should stay at 6 for this game and the quarter final. I donāt think it will work out but youāre going to try it out then you have to give it a proper chance. Itās always easy to revert to wayne and Hannon back at half forward. Management donāt seem to view Breen as a half back option at all, Iād be inclined to agree and would leave him at half forward. Agree on Lynch, but maybe heāll start the next game.
Lynch has done sweet fanny adams to warrant a starting place on the team ffs. Fucking dickheads will have the kid ruined instead of letting him develop and go about his businessā¦ Thatās Limerick for you.
Heās a young lad adapting to senior hurling, nobody expects him to be pulling up trees. Austin Gleeson took a while to get going for Waterford last year but was on fire against Cork in his first Championship game. Lynch has shown nice touches, but it is a step-up, I think gametime at this level to adapt to the pace, the physicality is what he needs. Also the fact that heās not the best player on the pitch in every game he plays.

The other fella is saying he should start come championship, thatās what I pulled him up on not who starts against Laois.
