Before itâs locked- Elvis, would you care to respond to Fagan in regards the way the Waterford minors have been brought on versus the absolute shambles in Limerick? It must be very disheartening for real GAA men like yourself to see the riches being pissed away for another generation.[/QUOTE]
I meant in terms of training he takes no part in hurling side of training only physical.

In fairness to Waterford, after they won that breakthrough Munster title in 2002, they embarked on a serious investment in their underage academies. Some would snigger, but they are actually a prime example in how to manage success in that they capitalised on the resurgence of hurling interest in the county. It was all going swimmingly until two economic breakdowns, the national one and Davy sending them to Queer Street.
In fairness though,it reaped rewards and theyâre now consistently competitive at every level from Forristal up to senior and have achieved a sustainability that they historically lacked.
Weâre trying to go the same route but Waterford (and Clare) are a little further down the road. Itâs the right road too, but Limerick supporters are the most impatient, flip-flopping and fickle bunch of bastards and want everything yesterday. We need to able to consistently perform across the age-grades and Iâd be hopeful weâre moving that way.
Regarding Waterford bringing players through, theyâre doing what suits them. This is what every county should do. I wouldnât be too worried about the comparison as Morrissey and Lynch (good hurlers & not doing a Leaving Cert) were probably the most ready to be brought on. I said last year that we may not get anymore than 4 or 5 off those two minor teams that will have sustained senior careers and Iâll stand by that. The ideal scenario is that weâll get two or three superior quality players off EVERY minor team over 6-7 years.

Impatient yes but we are so close to an all ireland it is a shame to have an average manager fuck it all up.
Fair enough, Warwickshire. I knew he played in England somewhere.
I wouldnât be worried about Lyons not doing the drills. His speciality is physical preparation and heâs been spot on with that over the last two years. Beary is a decent coach and Clarkey fills in also. They have the blend fairly right other than the joker in the pack is actually the manager!
I did indeed. A hurling man to his boots. An absolutely top drawer free taker. I canât recall ever seeing him miss one. Played a few times against him. Always enjoyed it. Tough but completely fair. Wouldnât be a man to teej the butt of a hurl through your face guard unprovoked.
I didnt need to wait and see it tried out you bollox. Anyone with any bit of an understanding of the game didnt need to see it fucking tried. He is not and never will be a 6. But dopes of your ilk thought he might be âworth a go thereâ. Fucking laughable. We wasted time trying him there instead of getting him games where he needs them. Meanwhile we could have actually tried a fucking defender in our central defensive role. It was a waste of time.
Pillock? Fucktard? Your the fucking dope who thought Seanie OâBrien was new onto the panel ffs!
Yes, but doubtful. Yet again, like most Iâve said it shouldnât be tried, said it for years, but if since it has been tried he may as well be given a decent run at it.
