Hon Tipp!
:D:D:D
Typical Limerick man, clueless. I told you it would be a ten + hiding. TJ was indeed stood there with his gob open and unable to change it.
Short year for Limerick this year.
Would you fucking blame him?
What i found particularly amusing was the piece about calling in the young fellas after the leaving.
And whatâs the point bringing in lads now when our next game is Championship in May? Too late now.
And if a lad canât sort his shit out and arrives overweight in April there is something seriously wrong with the set up. Richie has been carried away by fools singing songs about him. We are just lucky he got rode tonight. Heâll get done in Championship one day and it wonât look pretty.

And they are all related.
Well considering it was Schutte who was on him for 90% of the game it would almost defy science for Rushe to have given him âa scorchingâ.
Tipp are the team this year. Professer O Shea to land the big one
And the Kellyâs are related to the Morans???
So that would put limerick all related to each other so âŚ
But in hurling matters limerick would be the poor relations, wouldnât they really.
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of resentment and envy Limerick and its loyal supporters bring out to the surface of supporters from other counties. Their unbridled jealousy is sort of embarrassing for us.
I wish yee well Peter. I just think you should be more worried than you are about last nightâs game. However, most of your colleagues think a game on Thurles last summer is more important than last night
Iâve calmed down a bit since last night. It was probably a bit OTT to say in the immediate aftermath we didnât try. Unfair to the players and I retract it. Good bunch of lads in the current panel, just came up against a hungrier, better team on the night.
- itâs the league
- itâs March
- Kilmallockâs success and long run was a double edged sword. It cost us a shot at promotion (Waterford deservedly go up but we were five seconds away from beating them. If Graeme Mul or Paudie were available we would have won that game. Look at how Kilkenny have struggled without the Ballyhale lads)
- injuries have killed us. Missing our while first choice forward line against Waterford, missing most of our defenders against Offaly (together with playing the whole game with 14 men). We just donât have the depth in the squad to be missing six or seven regulars. Even last night we lost our two main leaders by half time. Downes not played a minute yet this year either.
So everything has gone against us in this league campaign. Not being an apologist for the management but there have been mitigating circumstances. Itâs not a sin to point that out.
In saying that we really need to pull the finger out. Clare have been getting dogs abuse so it will take a massive effort to beat them. Theyâve class hurlers all over and weâll need to show some tactical nous that has been sorely lacking so far. We just lump it long every single time. We donât have any discernible tactics. Fire and brimstone will only get you so far in the summer.
Unfortunately the panel - bar Cian Lynch and to a lesser extent Tom Morrissey - does not seem to have been strengthened all that much. Not going to individually name lads who are doing their best but we are carrying a few lads on the panel, particularly in the forwards, who are committed but not intercounty standard.
Time for the management to be ruthless and lay it on the line. Iâm sceptical as to whether that ruthless streak is there. A few lads need a kick up the hole and be told to get fitter. A spell on the bench might do one or two no harm either.
A very poor league campaign but the season can still be salvaged. Time is running out though. Between club matches etc thereâs only about four or five weeks of preparation left. As of now we donât know whoâll be in the half backline or half forward line for the summer. Itâs a recipe for disaster.

The weather had a fair bearing on it last night too.
Thereâs no time nor inclination to start worrying Mac. Itâll all come right on the day. TJ and the squad are all too aware of what is required. Limerick without a hint of hesitation will win the AI this year and no mistake about it.
[QUOTE=âBreaking my balls, post: 1114461, member: 2493â]That was 6 years ago under Justin pal, you are clutching at straws there ffs!
This shitting the togs in Croke Park thing is a myth. We beat Clare and Waterford there in 07 which everyone overlooks.

Eh? Using a game from 6 years ago is clutching at straws but using games from 8 years ago proves a point?
The condition of the limerick side looked poor IMO. They should be just about championship ready now fitness wise, but they looked like a side only back from pre season. 7 weeks to get fitness and hurling up to par is asking a lot. The conditioning should be done now and just sustained. Doesnât seem like that is the case.

I agree with this actually.
But fuck you for pointing it out.
Fucks sake
I can only think that they have no interest in going through the front door- if it happens itâs a bonus kinda mentality- but with 7 weeks to Clare theyâve left themselves too much to do i think. Dodge will be out a minimum of 5/6 weeks - Seamus could be out for the same. Downes wonât start training until after April 5thâŚ3 players we were hoping would be key to the team⌠The only other way to look at it is that TJ hasnât a clue and the leadership of the players got them to where they did on the back of OâGradyâs league/training.
