I’m registering my pessimism for the year ahead now. I’m usually full of hope and belief going into championship but i’m writing this year off. We are a complete shambles at the present.
Footballers up 1-4 t 0-3 at half time. Started well but gone completely out of it. Clare will have a very strong wind behind them this half. Will need to up our game considerably.

Playing into a hurricane they dug out a brilliant win after Clare drew level early in the second half. Balls, spirit, grit and character can never be questioned in this group.
On to Louth next week. Win and we are safe. A cup final.

Our scoring difference is way worse, I’m pretty sure we need at least a point in Louth.
Not necessarily. If Limerick and either Clare or Sligo finish on four points (and they are the only two teams who finish on four points) we would stay up via head to head.
Unfortunately Sligo and Clare are at home to teams who have nothing to play for.
Super second half performance. The younger lads brought a great drive to things. while at times the older players got sucked back into over passing the ball around the half back line, the young lads took the ball on almost every opportunity and drove at Clare. Stephen Cahill had a great game. Danny Neville was excellent when introduced too. Nash took his goal really well.
Whether the raw quality is there for championship I’m not sure but certainly a very encouraging performance and will have a right go at beating Louth.

I’ve contacted the runt and he has confirmed this is 100% lies. It’s the first weekend he’s had off in a long time.
