Without a doubt the available cash has turned limerick from a bit of a laughing stock into a well oiled machine.
Different from Dublin massively as the gaa aren’t doping limerick, they are doing off their own bat. Does every county have a local with the largesse to improve them? Doubtful but bar a full equalisation of funds, fund raising will have to be the way forward, plus of course a re direction of Dublin’s millions and Dublin appropriately penalised fairly for the next 15 years or so.
History will recognise the greatness of the 2017 Galway team. The last side of plucky amateurs to win an all Ireland.
Waterford have a great chance Sunday. We haven’t motored properly since the Tipp game and have only been hurling in patches. They’ve played us already so will have learned lessons and have improved since and their confidence will be high.
I think we’ll have too much if we are at our best, but we’ll have to be hurling well for the full 70 plus minutes
