Limerick to Foynes M21 project (incorporating Adare bypass & rail line reinstallation)

I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed pints in Houlihans, The Old Stand and Fitzgeralds.

Only three. Houla’s, The Golden Spur and Howard’s at the cross. Daffy only opens when they have a funeral. There were fourteen in the 90’s.

Tis the same all over sadly.

Not in Charleville :man_shrugging:

Charleville actually turned down the mart originally I remember hearing years ago, might be bollocks though.

Might be bullocks though

As grim a spot I ever set foot in . Even the drive into it you feel you’re heading into the Wild West , surrounded by hills . Apparently the very last place the brits had a garrison .

Tipp Town is a fine town. Lovely people and scenery.

The new footpath by the river has been a great addition.

There’s plenty worse towns than Tipp Town, the Main Street isn’t bad at all, it tough when you’re being compared to Charleville which some lads nee to justify as a kip :man_shrugging:

Shannon Town has to be one of the worst places in Ireland. Including the industrial estate / free zone. Depression central. Mordor.

People are dying on that death trap of a road as it is.

Less road deaths > inconveniencing the taxpayer

Reducing the speed limit and enforcement will save lives at no cost

While I agree with that, it’s also clear the current road needs to be thoroughly upgraded, the stretch from Croom to Mallow is a de-facto regional road in terms of quality.
