Michael Duignan tips Clare to win the "big shannonside Derby " . No real insight and thinks with Davy gone that Clare will express themselves . He thinks the teams should be picked by now .
We wlll see but did you hear or record in Munster
Conal Keaney and Damien Hayes absolutely railroaded Limericks chances on The Hurling Show Podcast, it wasn’t pretty.
Very unlike Hayes.
I was thoroughly shocked I must admit. He really doesn’t like ye.
There’s a guy works down the chip shop, swears hes Elvis
Linky please?
Barely a word about Limerick, all the media talk about now being Clare’s time to deliver… Clare should be too strong, but this is nicely poised.
@myboyblue is there anywhere on that site where the podcast episodes are actually listed? If you click on podcasts you normally see a number of articles that are between 2-5 days old, instead of links to the podcasts. Similarly if you click on the GAA Hour you get articles instead of podcast episodes. What sort of a retard designed that layout?
Yeah no one is giving us a chance outside of Limerick really. Partly due to being awful in our one televised game this year.
Davy was in place for five years. He might be gone but he’s not forgotten. Replacing a management that was in place for a year or two confronts the new setup with no deeply embedded culture that they must change. Completely different story when the culture was half a decade in the making. Again people seem to think that it will all have been swept away in just six months. If that’s true then Moloney & O’Connor are magicians, not managers.
On what site, sportsjoe? I wouldn’t know, soundcloud is your best bet for listening to them if you don’t have an iphone. Download the app and subscribe to the show.
Clare will have way too much … should be beating Limerick easy … Clare by 6… Is the crux of the podcast.
Yeah, sportsjoe.ie. I’ve had soundcloud on my phone before but it’s shite. Nice interface aside I think it’s one of the worst podcast hosts out there.
This attitude is daft. Limerick’s talent is being underestimated. Championship form is being ignored. The derby element is being forgotten. Clare might win it by 5 or 6 but so could Limerick. It’s a 50-50 game.
i’d say more 55/45 in favour of Clare… But as you touched on, a good performance would almost be enough for Limerick… Clare have their minds on delivering.
Anthony Cunningham was talking on off the ball last week about not wanting to show your hand in the league. Working on elements of a gameplan but not giving away all of it. As well as that Limerick have come out of poor to mediocre league campaigns in recent years and confounded expectations with great performances in the first round of the championship. I think Kiely is astute and the rest of the management team are top class, I think our hurling will be sharper than we’ve seen in recent years. I think Clare have an edge on quality but I think Limerick will turn up and put in a performance for this one.
I’ll be there kid barring any last minute hiccups …so to speak
For the general public that’s true. Can’t imagine Kiely and the squad don’t see Clare as beatable though. They’re a team that haven’t played well in three and a half years.
