Limerick v Clare 2022 Munster final

Clare could easily have had another 1-8 + from poor wides incl penalty

I would agree with that. We all have tinted spectacles at times. The full back and keeper are huge issues. A couple of nice players coming through though. Hayes will be top drawer.

Limerick had 15 wides, a few shockers as had Clare.

Ah. We hit bowes round 215 and had 3 pints for lunch. That made it easier to digest the match

Much an all as it pains me, I would have to agree with this. Clare always had Limerick at arms length and I felt they just had that extra gear in them.if needed. It would have been interesting had we not conceded those two sloppy goals. 10 points might be a bit harsh. Definitely six though.
I’d still be optimistic when Byrness and Hearty return. Nash also worth his starting place.
Richie Mccarthy needs his hole kicked.

I would say my good pal @Joe_Player called it right but he flip-flopped so much with his predictions over the course of the week. However, I hope Joe is savouring a rare Munster championship win today. Whipping boys no more.

See ye in the quarters Joe

Hegarty & Byrnes the missing leaders you speak of? :grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning:

You haven’t a breeze you dope. Clare were the better side by far.

Some of McGrath’s ( cunt of a ref ) decisions in the second half were bizarre.

You ( Limerick fans ) said Dowling & Breen would be top drawer too you flute.

That’s the problem with fans like you, you hype the fuck out of young lads as opposed to letting them mature in time. The way you are going on you think Hayes & Nash are YOTY contenders already.

Clare were far superior in touch & general team cohesiveness.

Countless times Jimbob, Slippy & Richie did selfish things. Playing with those dopes will ruin the young lads.

The penalty award from 80 yards away being the worst.

The 2 aul codgers obviously told him give it.

Really is time for up & coming young referees to start umpriring IC games.

Both average players, I don’t remember any Limerick fans waxing lyrical about David Breen.

Don’t forget Kevin Downes.

I think Downes has been a tad unlucky with injuries. I think he could have had a decent inter county career but I think that may be hopeful thinking now.

So Hayes & Nash will be different?

I believe they both have decent potential. How the fcuk can you state whether they will or won’t. My opinion is they have ability to be good players. Your thinking is sit on the fence and say nothing. it is a forum for discussion. Nothing I have said is wrong. I think both Kyle Hayes and Barry Nash have the potential to be very good players. Do you disagree?

They have potential on today’s showing in patches.

Calling Hegarty & Byrnes leaders though is beyond funny.

I would know Gearoid and I can assure you he is one of the better lads in the panel for pure drive, between Hannon, Hickey, O’Mahoney, Quaid, Mulcahy, Ryan and McCarthy their is not one bit of leadership, hence why we are so rudderless. Gearoid is like his old man, he is a hard bit of stuff who at least has a bit of gumption. Like most things it is easier to say it when it is first hand, most of the young lads on the squad will tell you Gearoid is one of the main leaders in the squad.

Some thoughts hate to admit it but carry is right. If Quaid wants to play in goals for Limerick he need to play in goals for Effin. He was dreadfully indecisive today. He normal does the basics well couldn’t even do that today. Limerick best goalkeeper was playing at 2 o clock instead of 4 o clock

The full line, Casey got roasted, bring back English. Finn played well but made a bad mistake for McGrath goal. Richie needs to remember he isnt Ciaran Carey.

Half back line did well. I like Hannon at centre back, Hickey and Morrissey did ok. Conlon did cause a bit of grief for us.

Midfield. Jimbob is finished, Browne did well enough but Galvin absolutely ran the show.

Half forward line. Awful, an 18 year old debutant had to carry the can for the entire line. Cian lynch needs to go to midfield and a fucking kick up the hole. Stick Dowling in full forward and he might make a nuisance of him and take a few frees.

As for the full forward line, that’s the last we will see of Mulcahy. Feel for him as the ball into him is appalling but we couldnt get the best out Shaughs it’s just the Limerick way unfortunately. Poor Peter Casey has 10 years of it to look forward to. Dempsey played well and Nash did ok when he came on.

Some positives but we have a long way to go

Byrnes is a leader of this team. Did you not see the exhibition he gave against Clare last year. He drives forward with the ball, he is made of the right stuff.
