That full forward line could do the world of damage,massive test for Limerick that Clare side on paper should be beating us by 5-6 pts most times.

It’s a very big game for Clare. Within the county it’s being seen a must-win, which would be the case against any side beyond the top 4 I think. The impression I get from Limerick people is that they could stomach a loss if they get a performance, although obviously within the camp they will be seeing this as a chance to set up a great summer as well.
The dynamics of the Clare-Limerick rivalry are a real wild card here as well. As spurious as that stuff often is, the record of every second game being won by either side stretching back 25 years is unique within the history of hurling and maybe even the GAA as a whole. I think it gives credence to the notion that the rivalry is a real factor, and just about every ex-player who will be interviewed next week will talk about how ‘Clare and Limerick games take on a life of their own.’
It’s absolutely the case and an organised, focused Limerick team are going to be a threat to anyone. Even last year, had Dowling struck his goal chance properly there would have been nothing in it going down the stretch. i honestly don’t think there’s as much between the teams as a lot of people are suggesting. If Clare win bit a to spare it will only be because Moloney & O’Connor have managed to recreate the chemistry of their U21 teams and make it work at senior level. It’s possible but it remains to be seen that they can do it.

Lots of talented players there but only one ballwinner in the half-forward line. Kelly is class but does not win his own ball, and is best in a free role. But so is Podge.
Very light midfield, nice hurlers, but we could definitely dominate them physically.
Cleary is very slow on the turn but that is a solid half-back line. Morey has lots of pace but isn’t a great man marker, Dillon isn’t particularly sticky either, certainly not as good as Oisín O’Brien.
Full-forward line a big threat, and if the game is loose, Kelly and Collins will wreak havoc too.
