Limerick v Clare AI Semi-Final
I confirmed today through my Limerick contacts that it was Renton who was beside me at the league final shushing in the munster jersey as I described above.

Thereā€™s moreā€¦

Apparently when he turned 16 there a few years back, his mother wanted to get him off the Velcro clasped shoes and onto laces. She got him a nice pair of laced tackies from lidl, and explained what he was supposed to do re tying them and then she headed off next door to have a chat and a cuppa with the neighbour. Anyway, after about 10 mins she heard an unmerciful scream and had to run back to see what had happenedā€¦ā€¦his sister arrived home in the meantime arrived upon him, heā€™d got himself in such a tangle with the laces she thought he was trying to hang himself

Relevance? Apparently when he gets vexed at the matches when things are going wrong he takes off the Velcros and pelts them at whoever.

So Clare fans beware, if you hear the sound of ripping velco and limerick 10 points downā€¦Duck

On the other hand, when youā€™re leaving the stadium after the game and you see the ape in the munster jersey and the dirty big bare feetā€¦thatā€™ll be Renton
Mother of jesusā€¦

Fucking hellā€¦

Thereā€™s far too much pressure on this Limerick side, even at this early stage. Thereā€™s all sorts of clowns of Limerick "supporters"crawling out of the woodwork trying to get a ticket, Lads who havenā€™t even been in Croke Park since it was redeveloped, and Munster fans. They will fold, mark my words, and wait till Bugler breaks James Ryan in two after the throw in, CARNAGE!

Fucking hell, the Clare lads donā€™t half sound rattled.

Iā€™m not from Klare pal. Have you beaten up anyone at work lately Fisty?

I just destroyed you with that and I had to do fuck all. Your natural Clare inferiority complex drove you to write that scutter, youā€™re a beaten docket.

I donā€™t work with you, so, no, no need.

watch that famous temper of yours Fisty, hilarious to see the famous Wexford/Offaly Stockholm syndrome take over with Wexford lads trying to jump on another bandwagon such as Limerick hurling

Bro, take a break from yourself for 5 minutes. Youā€™ll feel a lot better about life if you do.

ā€œwhen Limerick came on to the pitch you could feel the place shaking. It was as a loud a cheer as I ever heard. I was standing at the end of the tunnel and as Limerickā€™s Steve McDonagh was coming out, something inside me said ā€˜will I flatten himā€™? It would have been an absolutely crazy thing to do. I wanted to show them that although they had all the noise from the supporters, by God we were going to take them on that dayā€

Ger Loughnane

The banjo players and pipe whistlers are rattled.

Limerick 1
Klare 0

Gerlock knew!

Just leafing through his book here, he keeps emphasising the lack of mental toughness Limerick teams have always had, he was onto them alright, in a big way.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ro4UsOs2lUM

Just look at Gary Kirby for example, totally lacking in mental toughness, crying about a tap off Liam Dunne, and still crying about it 17 years later, then you have the likes of Sean McMahon, who played on with a dislocated shoulder, anyone who has suffered that will tell you how sore it is, and there is kirby crying about a dislocated small finger, FFS.

You never hear Ollie Baker whinging about the terrible cowardly belt that Mike Houlahan gave him either that changed the game in 1996. Like a real winner Ollie came back stronger and won an All Ireland medal the following year. Therein lies the difference in mindset

OMG!!!

I think that post from Kid should be split out into a thread of itā€™s own so itā€™s can be referenced as a future benchmark for Stage 4 Rattled.

The thing is hereā€¦limerick think they can beat us on August 18thā€¦

We know we can beat that limerick team! We fully believe it!

The Limerick lads are trying to play it all coy and what not here, but inside they are shitting it. They know they canā€™t come on here giving it big licks as they know deep down inside that there is every possibility that they will bottle the semi final or have the shit hurled out of them by this Clare team.

Us Clare posters know full well that whatever happenson the 18th we are only at the beginning of a what will be a great few years for Clare hurling and that our lads will do us proud regardless
