Limerick v Clare AI Semi-Final

Thatā€™s it, will you go fetch him?

Iā€™d say Clareā€™s recent upturn is far more to do with the influx of Limerick people into outlying suburbs over the county border than anything else. An ounce of breeding and all that. Itā€™s certainly noticeable that most of Clareā€™s key players come from the greater Limerick metropolitan area and of course some of them, like Podge Collins, are actually from Limerick themselves.

Iā€™ll be supporting Limerick in this one,a county with a proper GAA tradition.

15 days to go, we will hopefully have yet another Munster under 21s title in the bag and confidence will be high. Three more weeks of high intensity ball work on top of that should have the likes of Honan and McGrath even sharper as both have been playing within themselves throughout the year despite some moments of brilliance.

As with all young/developing sides we are a streaky enough side, we have spells of brilliance where we put up plenty of scores in a short space of time but we also have spells where we donā€™t keep the scoreboard ticking over.

All the same I think we are in a good place coming into this, the side will be confident and we are constantly learning from our mistakes. I believe that we have what it takes to beat Limerick and it will take a very good performance from them to beat us and if they do manage that it will only stand to these young tyros as they continue to develop mentally and physically. It would be a wonderful achievement for this side to make let alone win a senior all Ireland this year but if they make a half decent start on the 18th and find their flow they will be hard to stop

Regardless of whatever happens I would expect Clare to be in more semi finals than not over the next 6 or 7 years and we will see many fine performances from them

+1

Clare could dominate for the next ten years, I hope we have many a battle in that time.

Nice to see someone with a bit of cop on

That is one of the biggest arse kickings I have ever seen on the Internet and yet KC keeps coming back!

He reminds me of nothing more than a tinker. Just doesnā€™t when to lie down and play dead, stupid cunt keeps getting up for more.

The other good one was '94. ā€œThe home comingā€
Imagine after losing a 5 point lead with 5 mins to go, and what do the kunts decide to do? You guessed it, a fucking parade up Oconnell st and a civic reception after it inside in the civic offices. I was inside in town that day and remember looking up and seeing hegarty crying out over the edge of the open top bus ā€¦

If Tom Ryan was half the man he claimed he was, heā€™d have let them board the bus at the top of Oconnell st, then headed out to houlihans for the shovel and been back inside civic buildings to meet the kunts as the got off the bus

Civic reception my hole, they should have been bet up Oconnell st

Why must Clare people whinge and make excuses when Limerick are successful?
Because they are naturally inferior and they know it. Itā€™s bred into them, they canā€™t help themselves.
Limerick are the current Munster champions. Thatā€™s success, thatā€™s pedigree.

Referring to something that happened almost 20 years ago is irrelevant, if you want to refer to that you must threrefore also bring up Limerickā€™s superior overall tradition of winning All-Irelands and 32-14 winning record in Limerick-Clare knockout championship clashes.
Ah letā€™s be fair now Sid, itā€™s 32-16

He is not the worst in fairness.

Collins is from west clare stock.

From Limerick, played underage for Na Piarsaigh.

He is from Limerick and will piss his child size shorts when he faces his own county.

Great post for the neutrals. It sums up perfectly the bitterness, begrudgery and mean spiritedness of the Clare crowd.

ye are one to talk about pissing shorts.

Dowling came on as a sub for Na Piarsaigh for last 15 minutes tonight, good news!
