But you haven’t. What exactly have you to back up the claim that Wayne Mc is better than Bugler for instance? Bugler has his deficiencies but is a very consistent player, one of the finest half backs at Fitzgibbon level over the last decade, a current all star. Wayne Mc is a lad who was destroyed by Enda Barrett just over a year ago for instance, can’t remember Bugler being roasted in a similar manner by as limited a player
Tony Kelly is a far superior hurler than any of the lads in the Limerick half forward line and Colm Galvan was the dominant midfielder on display when the teams met 12 months ago and is bang on form yet you think Paul Browne would get in ahead of him as well.
I am a big fan of Graeme Mulcahy and he is a very underrated player but over the last 3 seasons Conor McGrath has give far more consistent performances and has been far more eye catching.
I would think there is little or nothing in ability wise between Pat O’Connor and Paudie O’Brien and Pat Donnellen and Gavin O’Mahoney either.
These are just a few. I would like for you to explain your choices so we can see the rational behind them
God love these poor clare misguided souls. Things are really bad when you are trying to fool yourself into believing your own nonsense.
Was thinking the quarter or semi in 2009. The fact of the matter is that while Hickey is a solid hurler he has not become the hurler he looked as though he would when he was in his late teens, he has regressed if anything which is a shame. I wouldn’t have him at midfield ahead of O’Grady, Kelly or Galvin
Clare would want to be wary of using Galway as a yard stick. Galway allowed Clare to dictate the game in a way that Limerick simply wont. Even with all Clares dominance Galway were still in a threatening position deep into the second half. There were a few times in that game where Galway opened up the Clare defence quite easily.
Saying that when Galway did raise the threat Clare responded immediately and never let the rot sink in. They have a game plan that they have invested in and its starting to pick pay dividends… a mammoth energy sapping effort from the Limerick forwards will be needed to break it down.
Limerick 6 points down with 15 minutes to go… and then a point up with with 70 minutes gone… but a last minute podge Collins point will send it to a replay.
Lost year in 2010, played out of position in 2011 by Donal O’Grady, injured most of last year -he hasn’t had much of a chance in fairness. He hasn’t looked spectacular on first viewing in either games but rewatching the games he’s been really impressive in what he’s doing for the team this year, and admittedly he’s not a half forward.
Its difficult to make a case for anything other than a comfortable Limerick win on Sunday. This is a Clare team who lost to Cork by 8 points, a Cork team who in turn lost to Limerick by 9 points.
There’s something seriously wrong with a championship structure which sees a team so comprehensively beaten as Clare were by Cork still hanging around like a bad smell in mid August.

Only the worst kind of sporting ignoramus uses triangle theories to make predictions.
WTB is spouting some woeful shite. I assume he is on the WUM.
Very few people in Limerick writing off Clare, none of the real supporters anyways, but sure keep playing the victim card. I thought Davy only reserved the seige mentality for the players, not the supporters as well.

Very weak looking team.
