They tried to by awarding conservatively 1-4 to Limerick for nothing

only 2/3rd of them got cars in my understanding? that would cause friction alright, whiney kiely needs to shoulder a lot of the blame, you had the likes of Lynch going around the golf in Lahinch losing the run of himself, those lads needed to be man managed
Tis all the one if it came off his Mickey now — I’m not gonna gripe, KK deserving winners … I’m just more disappointed that we never played — If one of Hego or Morrissey even showed up today we could have won that.

I don’t know how you do it but you can somehow manage to come across as the bitterest of cunts even when you get a result you want.
It was shocking how bad they were in the first 15 minutes, surely to fuck you have to be prepared for Kilkenny coming out with all guns blazing. I think that rattled Kiely badly and he was way too defensive in the second half. There were long periods in the second half where it seemed Gillane was the only inside forward, madness considering the KK fullback line looked vulnerable.

Extreme magnanimity being shown by the Limerick supporters on this thread. The highly entertaining meltdown I was expecting hasn’t materialised. Lots of nasty sniping but to a man they refuse to take the bate.
Well done to KK, hard luck to Limerick. That Limerick team still has more AIs in them, they’ll be back again next year.

I’m not even sure if it was 2/3rds, less than half but many were guaranteed to have their mortgages paid off too by JP. That also led to ‘complications’ from what Im hearing. There was one or 2 voices in the camp that were against it but Lynch was the ringleader behind the looting mob

The two long lay offs this year - from league to Cork game and now this - we came and stank the place out — questions have to be asked about prep alright…
As was said earlier in the year - I think our approach to the league this year was wrong and i’m not sure we gave enough game time to extended panel … we more or less ended up with the same 15 from last years’ final for all the big games this year.
But it has been a great ride to here and we know there’s more to come from this group - they will have learned a very big lesson today - you simply dont bring a knife to a gunfight — they were too casual in the first half - thought it would just suddenly click - you cant come in with that attitude with KK. But there’s still a lot of young men on that team - these things happen - hopefully it sticks in the craw and drives them on.
