Some of TJ’s play was unbelievable today, despite the fact he didn’t score from play. An incredible player.
That’s the pinnacle right there. After the low fat AIs of the last few years, here we were in Croker in the sweltering heat with the fat dripping off the occasion.
From a Limerick perspective it was everything you wanted. In a way the Galway game was more nerve wracking where they nosed themselves ahead a couple of times. Today we lead from start to finish and it was only that age old fear of the three pointer that kept us on our toes.
All the worlds have been conquered now and next year could genuinely go anywhere imo, who knows who will be gone from this setup. It has been some run though. I’d be OK with one more.
Apparently it was mainly because in some international stadia, the javelin would have landed in the fifth row of the crowd
Congratulations to the limericks. Best team I ever saw.
Ah you’re on the wind up now
Mike Casey like he got a belt into the face

Sure he was nearly killed in the first half.
Great effort from DBA Publications on the match programme today. A very useful roll of honour provided on Page 35.
That hurling they invented in 1995 must have come under the control of a different organisation.

And Dalo Lock and the rest introduced to the crowd
I wonder is TJ the best fielder of the ball ever. Tommy Walsh was great but it’s harder for an attacker.

Can’t think of anyone better.
Donal Óg talking sense here. The split season has been a disaster for Hurling
TJ seems to have it sussed … he can scatter lads around him while Tommy needed them there to spring off them
Limerick won without Cian Lynch, and had to my mind at least two, probably three reasonable challengers. Kk still complain that they would have won in 2010 had their talisman, and at that time the finest forward in the country not been injured. Limerick coped. Kk didn’t.
I think this Limerick side are well worth three in a row. I hope they all fcuk off away drinking now, as I hate the cunts.
The end.
Tony Doran was a great man under a high ball.
I thought TW was the best judge of a high ball I ever saw, (and any high ball headed TWs way meant KH was already planning his move out in front as TW caught it and lobbed a crossfield diagonal right into the space), but I’ve not seen TJ in the flesh in recent times.
Split season should give Donal Og loads of time to give Cloyne a hand before they go down junior. Cloyne do not pay the bills.
As Fagan said its a lot easier for a half back than a half forward to catch ball
