Thats a lie and you know it
A lot better tonight. More commitment, passing and pressure, but tho they scored four, at times they were far from clinical in the final third which up against better opposition would be a worry. But things are moving in the right direction…
Great performance from Johnson on his home debut, probably man of the match. He was a constant threat down the right and took his goal very well as well as setting up the last.
I also think Mascharano had a decent game trying to slot into the Alonso roll… Not all his passes found their target, particularly first half, but as the match went on I thought he looked very comfortable and composed and spread some decent passes around.
4 goals will be a nice confident boost but they deffo have to up it another gear or so… The lack of depth from the bench is still a worry.
Just here hitting refresh waiting for the likes of Farmer and Clarkey to come on here all positive about things coming together and Rafa has found the right mix etc etc etc. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Liverpool will not win the league in this decade.

Any trurth in the rumour that Lucas actually had a decent game tonight?
Lucas has had a decent pre season, get s bad rap imo. Will be proven to be a decent player in the fulness of time.
Little you have to be doing tinnion. Better tonight but I don’t think Liverpool have the squad to win the Premiership this season. Think they’ll be better home than away this season as I doubt our ability to be able to break at pace. An awful lot hinges on Aquilani which isn’t a great way to be. And there’s the usual reliance on Gerrard and Torres.
The positives from tonight are:
(1) Glen Johnson is the best right back in the world.
(2) Passed the ball well in the second half.
(3) United lost.
(4) In the equivalent two games last season we only took one point. This season we’ve three.
That said I think we may struggle to third place this season. I fancy Chelsea for the league.
I wouldn’t be too disappointed if Rafa left.

Clarkey I think I speak for the rest of the forum when I say HIT THEFOOKING LOG OUT BUTTON BEFORE YOU START POSTING.
Great point, Tinnion.
How difficult is it for this shithead to look up at the top right hand corner of the page and see that I’m logged in?

Bandage - we may be able to use this to our advantage in the Facebook romance, watch out for Clarkey leaving himself logged in.
Who knows, maybe he’s gotten her to sign up to TFK and been using the excellent Private Messaging system offered here to communicate?
