[quote=“Woody”]I’ve always been a supporter of Benitez but after this I’m started to fear for his sanity:
I think the fans will get to see the best of Aquilani this season. It is a question of time, said the Liverpool manager, who plans to rest Lucas Leiva against the Group E leaders and deploy the 25-year-old Italian alongside Javier Mascherano in central midfield.
Only yesterday he scored an amazing goal in training. We had two. Fabio Aurelio scored with a volley from 30 metres and then Aquilani scored with a left-footed chip over [Jose] Reina. It was very, very good, and he showed touches of quality."

:D, He’s flying it in training.
This is shite.
At what stage are the Liverpool fans going to lose patience with Rafa?
At least they didn’t start singing You’ll Never Walk Alone whilst getting beaten today. Idiots.

What is wrong with that?
Anyway, that was as bad as I have seen Liverpool under Benitez in that second half.
Will Liverpool make top four do you think farmer? They seem to be going nowhere as a club.
Everything, just another illustration of their acceptance of second best (it’ll be fifth best this year). And it’s just idiotic behavior, like buying your missus take-aways and pizza when she’s piled on a load of weight.
Arsenal were terrible in the first half, Liverpool just didn’t let them play. Ptoblem with Liverpool was that they were so focussed on closing Arsenal down quickly and kicking them that they had no ideas of their own.
Incredibly unlikely at this stage Larry. If they continue to play like they are playing at the moment then no chance.
The team is completely devoid of confidence. Out of the Champions League, out of the title race and struggling to make fourth. A disastrous season.
Would you mind if I gave my opinion here Larry?

You’re an idiot Tinnion. Liverpool could have been 3 up at half time. That was not all due to closing Arsenal down.
Hard to explain what happened then. Once the own goal went in they seems to lose all belief.
It is an admirable trait that a club’s fans would sing such a song when things are going bad. It shows faith that things would get better. And so much for Liverpool settling for second best? Did you hear Ian St John on Sky there? The guy was nearly in tears. And there are many, many more Liverpool fans sick at what is going on at the moment.
Yes, from all the diving and resulting penalty claims.
Typical performance by a midtable team against a big team, give it their all before eventually running out of steam.

No diving this time.
Even your God Arsene Wenger said Liverpool should have been more that 1-0 up at half time and Arsenal were lucky.

I did not see it.
I think liverpool will finsh top four this season…it actually seems to me that people are talking up the chance of failure so when they do get 4th it will be some sort of sense of achievement…spurs are too flakey…city have no balance in their team…Villa are suited to playing against the big teams who are pushing forwrad trying to create something…its when they play the lesser teams that sit back and play for a draw that villa struggle…all in all i think it won’t take much of a run for the pool to get fourth…birmingham are about 8th FFS…
Agreed on that scummer. They’re making fourth place out to be some sort of fantastic achievement and managing expectation by referring to the top 4 as almost a trophy in itself.
The 2 boys have a bit of cash now so hopefully there’ll be a big signing or two in January. Mata has been mooted and I’d be happy with him. Would also like a quality left back. Would be a bit miffed if Van der Vaart went to Arsenal. Thought Liverpool missed out in not going for Sneijder and the same applies for Van der Vaart.
I don’t think anyone is doing that fairness. Liverpool have to aim for fourth now seeing everything else is out of reach so that they get sufficient finance, and pull for players, for next season. Nobody would be calling it an achievement if we get there.
Yep. Nobody is going to be proud of it anyway.
I think Spurs will finish fourth. Hard to know about City.
I think Spurs will win the league as part of a wider Jewish conspiracy
