Ruud van Nistelrooy and Henry may need to be replaced in the summer. Throw in a presidential election or two and I can see Torres on the move from a Benitez less Liverpool. If Reina wants to seriously test Casillas for the Spanish number one spot he needs to move home and the number one spot at Barcelona is available.[/quote]

would have thought Eto would be more likely to leave Barca than henry in the summerā€¦

tell you one place Torres wont be going and that is Real Madrid. he wouldnt get into the city alive if he were to go there after being with Atletico since a chap. whatever about Barca, can wipe Real off the list of your speculation there KIB.

and to be honest, I doubt Benitez was ā€˜the sole factorā€™ in Torres signing. surely you have heard he had ā€˜Youā€™ll never walk aloneā€™ on his captains armband at Atletico, so Iā€™d assume it wasnt just Benitez that made him want to go to Liverpool.

and I remembered an interview he did and found it here:

Torres signs for LiverpoolHow big a factor was Rafa Benitez in your decision to come to Merseyside?

The first time I spoke to him, I was convinced. Just to know Rafa has confidence in me and trusts me is massive. I feel honoured because Liverpool are such a big club, they could have signed anyone. I am very pleased they have chosen me!

Eto is having a very good season though. Hes a contrary fuck tho.

eh helloā€¦Henry has been on fire for Barca aswellā€¦

Henry is flying this season as is Etoā€™o. There were rumours that Etoā€™o would leave but in stepped Pep and assured him of his worth to the club.
Henry was up and down in form when he joined but he was having marriage difficulties. Still scored a good few goals around that time too though.
Pep got rid of the lazy arses-Deco and Ronaldinho who were a bad influence.

Ya but they tend to play him wide where they have a surplus of good players. Etoā€™o is four years younger aswell so Iā€™d say if Torres became available that Henry would be the one to hot foot it.

Agreed, thereā€™s no chance Torres would even consider joining Real Madrid. Remember him lambasting Raul before for leaving Athletico as a youth player to join Real and Torres was adamant heā€™d never ever play for them. No chance of that happening.

Youā€™re right there. They shunt Messi out to the flank as well most of the time. Probably looking to get rid of both of them.

Messi doesnā€™t look happy out there. Iā€™d say heā€™ll hand in a request.

I understand the Alonso stance but the above is total speculation.

As I said Fran, donā€™t question him. Heā€™s probably like yer man on Sky Sports on transfer deadline day with his phone hopping letting on its players and agents ringing and texting him. Andy whatever his name is.

Have more or less been living in a goldfish bowl today because of work so missed all of this.

For fuck sake - Mark Lawrenson cunt extraordinaire mentions that Rafa is leaving and KIB Man is discussing where Torres would fit into the Barcelona team!

sweet jesusā€¦he always drifts out to the left wing of his own accord to pick up the ballā€¦picks it up on the sideline, cuts in to edge of the box, opens up the body and tries to curl right footed to far cornerā€¦just look at every second goal he scoresā€¦be it with Arsenal,France or Barcaā€¦

Nonsense he played down the middle for Arsenal in a 442, he plays wide for Barcelona in a 433. Etoā€™o is the central striker.

Yes but I think scumpot was saying that even when he was playing down the middle he used to always drift to the left, especially on breakway movements.

I think with Barca heā€™s played out on the left full time, and isnt the main man, which didnt sit well with him for a long time.

Question is what had he ever done to be on the Gillette ad with Woods and Federer ahead of say, Phil Taylor?

Stands up and applauds farmer

You better get a stool to stand on if you want him to notice.

That Torres is one soft cunt,i wouldnt like to see him marking Dick O Hara or Sylvie Linnane in thier heyday, hed never play sport again.Gave most of last night rolling around the ground, looking at his leg, getting physios to kiss it better and finally leaving the pitch with tears of pain in his eyes. For fuck sake.A gimps game Soccer.
