tell you one place Torres wont be going and that is Real Madrid. he wouldnt get into the city alive if he were to go there after being with Atletico since a chap. whatever about Barca, can wipe Real off the list of your speculation there KIB.

and to be honest, I doubt Benitez was ‘the sole factor’ in Torres signing. surely you have heard he had ‘You’ll never walk alone’ on his captains armband at Atletico, so I’d assume it wasnt just Benitez that made him want to go to Liverpool.

Henry is flying this season as is Eto’o. There were rumours that Eto’o would leave but in stepped Pep and assured him of his worth to the club.
Henry was up and down in form when he joined but he was having marriage difficulties. Still scored a good few goals around that time too though.
Pep got rid of the lazy arses-Deco and Ronaldinho who were a bad influence.

Ya but they tend to play him wide where they have a surplus of good players. Eto’o is four years younger aswell so I’d say if Torres became available that Henry would be the one to hot foot it.

Agreed, there’s no chance Torres would even consider joining Real Madrid. Remember him lambasting Raul before for leaving Athletico as a youth player to join Real and Torres was adamant he’d never ever play for them. No chance of that happening.

sweet jesus…he always drifts out to the left wing of his own accord to pick up the ball…picks it up on the sideline, cuts in to edge of the box, opens up the body and tries to curl right footed to far corner…just look at every second goal he scores…be it with Arsenal,France or Barca…

Nonsense he played down the middle for Arsenal in a 442, he plays wide for Barcelona in a 433. Eto’o is the central striker.

Yes but I think scumpot was saying that even when he was playing down the middle he used to always drift to the left, especially on breakway movements.

I think with Barca he’s played out on the left full time, and isnt the main man, which didnt sit well with him for a long time.
