Liverpool 2018/2019

Matip is injured, or is just back. Gomez is injured … Lovren is 4th choice, or 3rd and level with Matip at best. Plenty of hams have reached the pinnacle of team sports, that doesnt mean shit - just that others can cover their deficiencies. You’ve had your little wind up - but a blind man can see Lovren is a ham.

Liverpool’s bench last night cost £180m. Not a thin squad.

The offside trap is a collective effort. Liverpool’s offside system has been excellent this season. They have the best defence in the League. You are nitpicking.

Liverpool dont really play the high intensity pressing game any more - I thought they might unleash it last night but they didnt.

Which is why you don’t try and play offside brazenly. Van Dyke is the one who tried to play it, he cost them.

Thought you rarely watch them this season.

He is a WC Finalist, mate.

The poor organisational skills of VVD were cruelly exposed last night.

:+1:

You don’t get to be the best defender in the world by being brazen.

You couldn’t blame Lovren for either goal last night, you’d need to be a special type of simpleton to do so.

Indeed. Van Dyke needs to cut out those reckless and brazen moments in his game.

Recent history has to be a worry for Liverpool fans. Liverpool had a great December in season 2016/17, Klopp’s first full season, a great run starting with a 0-1 win at Everton with a Fergie time winner and culminating in a New Year’s Eve win over Manchester City to move up to 2nd. January and February 2017 was an absolute horror show for Liverpool. It started with a 2-2 draw at third from bottom of the table Sunderland, there was a home defeat to bottom of the table Swansea, a defeat at second from bottom Hull and a defeat at fourth from bottom Leicester City. A haul of 6 points from 21 in 7 matches over January and February finished off the Liverpool title challenge.

You’d need to be a KOK.

He showed a total lack of awareness of Agueros position for the first goal, I thought

Same lack of awareness that passed it to Kun?

there one time in the second half when a straight ball was played to Aguerro who if he controlled it he was through, VVD was badly exposed

reminded me of the worst days of him being exposed in Europe with Celtic

Also whats his problem with passing to the left?

Virge is not reckless, the man oozes class, never rushing in to tackles, stays on his feet. You champion Koulibaly as better, the man who looked like Bambi on ice when Salah ran at him.

@chocolatemice said 2 weeks ago (cc @mikehunt @farmerinthecity) that Liverpool will come undone in January. So far he is 100% correct.

You championed Wijnaldum yesterday afternoon and he proceeded to have a stinker.

For someone with only a passing interest in soccer like myself, you’re a very astute observer.
