Sturridge played a large part too. Donât think he got the credit he deserved last season. Liverpoolâs position this season is pretty fair and representative of where we are at. But we are looking up rather than down and I donât see the others, probably with the exception of Chelsea, as being that far ahead.

Suarez was the man, he was phenomenal last year. You canât replace talent like that. Liverpool are at best a team in transition. Realistically they will struggle to get in the top 4 in the foreseeable unless there is serious investment in the squad.

Suarez missed the first five games of last season due to suspension. Sturidge scored in 4 of those 5 games, the winning goal in the first 3 games.
He scored 8 goals in the first 9 games last season. Liverpool just didnât have that back up this year when Sturridge got injured.
