Was just about to say that. Up your bollix Phil.
Liverpool 3 Roma 0
Roma 0 Liverpool 2
Liverpool 2 Real Madrid 1
Wasnât he cup tied anyway?
Would he have got a medal had Barcelona won it?
Will he get one if Liverpool win it?
Fuck him.
Up his bollix.
Sevilla are now the only danger to us.
Weâve a 100% record against Real Madrid in knockout European Cup matches, including beating them in the 1981 final.
Weâve a 100% record of beating Bayern Munich in European Cup ties.
Weâve a 100% record of beating Roma in European ties, including a victory over them in the 1984 European Cup final.
It is written.
Ah lovely.
The disallowed goal before half time was huge. The officials made a decision and teams have to abide by it.
I thought Pep was on the pitch at half time giving the ref a confidence boosting chat telling how great he is a la what he did with Nathan Redmond (I think),instead seems like he was effing and blinding him out of it
Allez Allez Allez
Indeed. Showing my age but can still remember watching those 1981 semi finals against Bayern Munich. The first leg at Anfield if memory serves me correct was played the day of the Fermanagh/South Tyrone bye-election. Finished scoreless. Ray Kennedy broke the deadlock with a late goal in Munich with Karl Heinz Rumenneigge equalising almost immediately. Liverpool advanced on away goals to beat Real Madrid in the final.
Bayernâs next trip to the city was a cracking tie against Everton in 85 cwc semi which they also lost. Our own Kevin Sheedy was outstanding
Liverpoolâs Kennedy family have shot down all of the aforementioned European big guns still involved in this seasonâs competition over the years.
Bobby and Jurgen Forbert Klopp will do it again this year.
Pampared millionaires beat pampered millionaires. Irish lads who have never been to either city cream themselves. Funny but sad really.
In 43 games.
Incredible.
Iâve been to both cities multiple times⌠can I cream myself? â By and large I agree with your point.
It does have more of a 1981 feel to it than 1984 as you remarked when the Philadelphia Eagles made the Super Bowl back in January. We even have the first Spurs v Manchester City meeting at the Empire Stadium in 37 years since the Ricky Villa final on Saturday. Weâll most likely have the first 4 in a row in Gaelic football since 1981 in September. There was a royal wedding in 1981. Stretching it a bit now but Spurs might even win the FA Cup.
Was only there last week. Actually was in manchester as well. Can i cream myself?
Who won the Munster SHC that year ?
+11 assists
And myself, @Cicero_Dandi, @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy, @anon98850436 and @Bandage are going on hunger strike.
Thatâs the way itâs gone these days
