Liverpool Football Club 2017/18

Financially prudent?

How so?

He has a higher net spend than Conte now with no silverware to show for it yet and heā€™s been in the job about 8 months longer.

Conte inherited a team that had won the Premier League a year previously. Klopp started from a far lower base. Itā€™s an incredible achievement by Klopp to have been able to attract the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and VVD ahead of serial financial dopers Chelsea and Man City.

Typical KOK double standards.

Conte inherited a team that finished in 10th place the season before. Donā€™t let facts get in the way of double standards though.

Sturridge to Southampton for 40m is good business

Conte inherited a league winning squad and had no Champions League distraction.

A league winning Squad with no CL football?

You didnā€™t know this?

Thanks to a certain Luis Suarez who was gone when Klopp took over.

Thatā€™s a lame excuse, Mike.

Liverpool were a selling club under their previous manager. They had to sell key players like Suarez and Sterling.

They have turned that around lately, refusing to buckle when Coutinho tried to force through a move.

You are displaying a lot of KOK tendencies at the minute. The excuses posters on here have made for Klopp so far are being shown up as bunkum.

No he inherited a team that finsihed the previous season in 10th place. You seem to be having problems acknowledging realities of the matter.

A minor miracle is what he performed with that Squad tbf, the cunt.

The reason players wanted to leave was because of the manager. He was a spoofer and they knew it. Once Suarez left the game was up. While Rodgers should take credit for helping Suarez become the player he became he was not good enough to replace him adequately and was sacked.

Klopp is now attracting the type of players that Rodgers could never hope to.

There goes your double standards again.

Klopp is a bit of a spoofer himself but has a better way with the media.

The reason players want to leave is the same as under Klopp, Can is going to fuck off to Juve on a free transfer. Coutinho wanted to go but the Liverpool board backed their manager and rejected bids from Barcelona.

The difference between Rodgers and Klopp is that Klopp gets cut a lot more slack, heā€™ll have lads like you willing to tie yourself up in knots in order to excuse his failings.

Bite their hands off.

Absolutely, heā€™s not a Liverpool standard player anymore but he could still be a good premier league striker, the price isnā€™t extravagant in the current market and Soton really need a goalscorer

Coutinho was signed for 8m and Liverpool will get at least 130m in return. Liverpool, unlike Chelsea or City, need to balance the books. Liverpool would have sold him in the summer only Barce arrived too late after selling Neymar against their will. Can is a squad player which is why he is leaving.
