Liverpool Football Club - 2020/2021

80 points could win the league this season

I’d say 85 or so will definitely win it

That system with an attacking emphasis might be just what they need to kick start a run. Think they started all 4 away at City.

They dropped a lot of needless points late on against Newcastle, West Ham, Palace and even Wolves the last day. Could easily be top. Gareth Bale hasn’t done much yet, thought he’d be more influential.

They had just the right balance there for a few games. Jose went over the edge though after throwing away the 3-0 lead at West Ham and it’s been grim ever since. This tactic of playing for the 1-0 win after scoring first early and giving the opposition the ball all the time is grand if you have the Internazionale defence of the 1960’s or the George Graham back four 4 at Woolwich, not with this Spurs defence. Jose has no Plan B and not playing to the strengths of the team.

He will win ye a trophy

Bale has picked up a succession of niggly injuries the odd time that he has played. It’s real Sick Note Anderton stuff.

That’s a great outcome. Rumours was two months. Of course he’ll be injured again shortly afterwards

They’ll have to buy… Philips won’t play again and Rhys is currently not up to it.

They won’t buy.

They let a centre half go in the summer. Leaving them with three first squad centre halves and Fabinho. Those three first squad centre halves are now all injured.

Ape.

January isnt a great market plus ye will get absolutely gouged because of the necessity

Maybe getting a 30 odd year old stop gap might not be the worst shout. Someone like Jonny Evan’s short term

That’s all they need… Experience to sit in next to Fab…

Win win. 30+ get a nice 1 year deal. Chance of glory.

You could pay 50% more for an actual long term target like Upermercano

I think they’ll have to… It’s some waste having Fab back there also. Him and Thiago could be a great pairing with Henderson /Winj/Milner/Jones slotting in as the third .

Fabinho led there tonight. He was awesome. Hard to understand why Klopp was so reluctant to pick him at the start.

Henderson hasn’t the artillery to be the one to break the lines, in my opinion. A willing lad, 100% guy but not a back 8 splitter.

He’s such a good player. Missing him from midfield all the same.

Fabinho is better at centre half. He’s not a creative midfielder and Henderson is grand playing that defensive midfield role.

Henderson Milner and Jones were all great defensive midfielders last night. Newcastle only had a couple of proper chances.
