Badly missing Van Dijk, because
- He’s Van Dijk
- Fabinho is missing from midfield
- They can’t play that high line with the same confidence without Van Dijk’s pace and Fab out of position.
- The whole midfield is playing that little bit deeper because they’re more vulnerable to breaks

Gini was excellent up until a few weeks ago but he seems to have gone to shit, Thiago looks to have that extra bit of guile but he won’t plug all the holes.
We just have to write this season off and look forward to next year

Think Carragher said on MNF that we haven’t done the two in a row since 1983-84. Man City the only team to manage it in the last 10 years (with an unlimited funds). Two in a row is a challenge.
When Van Dijk comes back there’s every chance he’ll have lost a yard of pace.
