Roy Keane shows only a basic understanding of the game as a pundit but people are too harsh on his managerial record. Did a solid job with Sunderland. Should have taken the Celtic offer in 2014. Too loyal in that instance.
They were horrendous that night alright. Adrian took it on himself to hand them a couple of early goals.
The Brighton match was a right smack in the puss. I thought a corner had been turned.
They are missing their 3 first choice centre backs not just one. They are down to the dregs. As a result their best centre midfielders are playing centre half meaning the midfield is a bit shit.
Because they have two centre midfielders playing centre half they donāt want to leave them exposed and play a high press.
Because they donāt play a high press the forwards arenāt getting the same opportunities to attack on mistakes close to goal.
Itās a vicious circle.
Teams have also figured them out. Without the turnovers high up the field all their creativity comes from crosses from the wing backs. So you pack the box and clear them at your ease.

I agree, thereās been a huge dip in formā¦as i said three years playing at a very high and consistent level, there was always gonna be a drop. Iāve also explained already that the whole system hinges on the centre half position, so itās a complete system failure on top of the dip in formā¦ Theyāve lost their 3 starting centre backs , itās not just a injury here or thereā¦ not many teams sustain that and will challenge for titles. With it theyāve taken from midfield to plug gaps back there. Itās much wider than ātheyve been shitā thatās the kind of skysports talk that lads like @BruidheanChaorthainn, who know very little about soccer, lap up. Fab and Hendo pressing in midfield and VVD + Gomez/Matip holding the highline and using pace to squeeze from the pack tighten the pitch and turn it over quickly and play the front three in in a second, thatās Liverpoolās gameā¦ It allows for your FBs to bomb on , which was a huge weapon for Liverpool, but that now has been restricted due to current inability to play as they want.
The players need to stand up tho and show a bit more. Theyāve been waltzing around the place in recent weeks. Not good enough.

I think the majority of Liverpool fans here will admit that theyāre playing shit regardless of the injury / caffeine slump / inhaler shortage issues.

Bizarre. Keane is an excellent pundit. Some lads here jizzing themselves regularly over expected goals and Naby Ladās supposedly amazing stats when in truth what Keane says strikes at the heart of nearly every professional sport. Working like fucking dogs for your team mates and doing your job will get you there 90% of the time. He continually questions Liverpoolās attitude/performance this year cos itās so poor.
