Would Liverpool arguably have a better best xi of the premier league era than United? Theyâve had some serious individual talents
A wonderful product of the Man City Academy
Itâs widely known that Sturridge had a mental breakdown
Leaving Citeh would do that to a man
A Liverpool best XI of the EPL era is arguably Suarez, the midfield from 08/09 and the rest of the team from the great 18/19 team. Rarely had a balanced team.
Sturridge was decent but a tad overrated. Opposition defences were busy watching Suarez. Suarez set up a lot of Sturridges goals too.
Always tended to lose key players just at their peak. A tough pick: 4-3-3 Reina (pipping Alisson on longevity), TAA (just ahead of Finnan), VVD, Carragher, Riise, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Suarez, Torres, Salah.
Edit: Fabinho or Henderson could and possibly should be in there ahead of Mascherano.
Not in my house
Before he got up on Nicky Minaj, or, more likely, after
Get Carragher out of there. A gobby plodder is all he was.
Hyypia could be more deserving alright.
Riise???
He was fantastic in 01/02 and 04/05 seasons. Robertson may have usurped him by now alright.
Very limited, had a good left foot, that was about it
Robertson is actually limited enough in the final 3rd but Klopp has helped him to develop into a fine player to garner assists. Riise had a fantastic strike on him. Crackers against Man Utd in 2002, West Brom in 2004, Leverkusen in 2005 and Barcelona in 2007 that Robertson probably wouldnât have in his locker.
That fat arsed fuck didnât make a save in his last two seasons.
Alisson would have been a shoe in until his recent blip. Iâll give Ali the benefit of the doubt. Reina did win 3 golden gloves in a row though.
Aurelio left back.
