I’ve left out a few but what can you do. McManaman was a very good player, people forget. Most Liverpool fans would have Carra in there. Henderson has been the driving force of the last 3 years… on their day the 11 I picked are easily the best in their position.

Liverpool fans look at Alonso through rose tinted glasses, he didn’t have his best years at Liverpool at all. Was far better in Real & Bayern. Rafa even wanted to get rid of him, I think his best year was in his last year (2009).

In terms of what they did for Liverpool & performances I’m taking Wijnaldum & Henderson all day long.

If your looking at the better player over a career than ya of course Alonso.
Mascherano can fuck off too, I’m taking the two boys.

Mascherano was phenomenal for Liverpool. A truly world class player… Alonso had one poor season and Rafa was thinking of getting rid because Alonso put the birth of his child ahead of football. Aurelio was injured a lot and wasn’t the best defender… good passer tho.
