Liverpool Football Club 2022/23

so will Man U?

Hmm

If they are retrospectively awarded 34 points and a goal difference of +79 then yes, they will pip Liverpool for the 21/22 premier league title, assuming City are punished for cheating.

Don’t worry mate. Liverpool fans behave very well at UEFA Cup finals. They’re still revered in Dortmund for their jovial antics in 2001.

Do the chsrges extend to 21/22?

Liverpool:
2013/14: 2nd
2014/15: 6th
2015/16: 8th
2016/17: 4th
2017/18: 4th
2018/19: 2nd
2019/20: 1st
2020/21: 3rd
2021/22: 2nd
2022/23: 5th

Man United:
2013/14: 7th
2014/15: 4th
2015/16: 5th
2016/17: 6th
2017/18: 2nd
2018/19: 6th
2019/20: 3rd
2020/21: 2nd
2021/22: 6th
2022/23: 3rd or 4th

I’ve just typed that out there but I’m 99% my facts are correct. A cumulative points tally over the last 10 years would be interesting. I’d imagine Liverpool would be about 100 points ahead.

Edit: I’ve done the maths there.

Liverpool: Cumulative points tally: 2013-2023: 780

Man United: Cumulative points tally 2013-2023: 686

@Ceist What are the respective finishing positions of Liverpool FC And Manchester United in the EPL since Alex Ferguson retired?

This is meant to be some kind of golden era for Liverpool, one of their greatest ever teams while at the same time one of the worst United sides in decades, but United have still finished above them in three of the last six years.

And four times out of eight since Klopp went there.
