Firmino injured quite a bit last season, but was generally injury free.

Despite one freak injury caused by dinosaur arms Pickford, VVD has been remarkably injury free during his time. Wijnaldum was the ultimate though. Not sure if the lad picked up an injury at Liverpool. Was ran into the ground like an auld Octavia

Van Dijks injury was a freak. The rest of them are caused by Liverpools all action style of play.

They’ve given Klopp 750 million pound to spend on players you ungrateful prick.

They are blaming FSG that Klopp spent more on Nunez than City did on Haaland

They were great owners when Liverpool were competitive and winning net spend trophies. Now they are shit, the owners are to blame

Lauding the Americans when they were hoovering up all those runner up titles and lambasting them now when that coveted 2nd place looks out of reach.

Happy birthday to the lighthouse

In bad form but a great lad. Won it all. A Hall of Famer.

I’d say most of that was also from sales… Bar when they first took over, they’ve pumped little of their own or a major part of the club’s revenue into buying players. They’ve done a great job turning the club around… What they bought for 350m is now valued at 4bn. They’ve signed deal after sponsorship deal after partnership deal to get to here but have only invested something like 2% of club revenue on players. Granted, Anfield has been redeveloped and that’s huge but 2% of revenue into recruitment is major under-investment. They own a baseball team and a hockey team and the complaints are similar… Great business model for the ownership but no huge spend on players.
It’s a hell of a lot better than where the club was when they took over, but unlike American sports, soccer success is largely maintained through spending. Not balancing the books - tho of course not always guaranteed success as utd have shown, but when you have a top coach like Klopp you have to back hom to the hilt.

They spent £100 million on Nunez during the summer and £75 million on Diaz in January. What more do you want?

Anyone ever hear a lad called Mo who always phones into talksport? He is priceless. Reckons quad is still on and it’s a miracle Liverpool even field a team spending as little as they do.

Did they get another nunez and Diaz? Because Darwin was 64m and the Noodle was 37m… Anyway, im not saying they haven’t spent money, every club has, but their model is book balancing and minimum investment in recruitment… The funds are clearly there to spend… they need to take one season in the red every now and again and then can go back to bean counting.
