Liverpool Football Club 2022/23

I’ve rerun my prediction model and it’s now predicting 97 points for the redmen

Jota is really missed. He’s a great bit of stuff and ghosts in to score headers when we hit a lull in games.

This start to the season reminds me of the 2009-2010 season after narrowly missing out on the title. Outside of the title winning season in 19/20 we don’t have a great record in seasons after finishing 2nd over the last 20 odd years.

I think Jota is underrated because it would appear Diaz and Nunez have more magic moments in them. Jota just carries on goal every two games without fuss

Darwin will do untold when’s be back befire his next suspension

A fierce bang of Klopps last season at Dortmund off this

Liverpool can pick whoever they like up top but until they sort their mid field and defence they are at nothing.

Van dijk was a disgrace tonight. Don’t think he’s mentall recovered from his injury. Dunno what you’d to with TAA but he’s a complete liability.

The mid field looks really old and slow which is odd for klopp as he relies heavily on his midfield out running the opposition.

We don’t have a good league record in odd numbered seasons. Our last five league titles have come in even years.

But we’re better at winning European Cups in odd years.

It’s a transition season. Big midfield signing will be in January i suspect… By next year you’ll have Carvalho, nunez, Diaz and new midfielder all primed.
There’s stll quite a bit of talent out injured

Not having Naby in midfield amounts to a six goal swing in this fixture.

Carvalho lad looks a real player.

We need to add a bit of steel/legs in the middle. Hard believe Milne is 48 years old and still getting starting.

Two hasbeens amd a kid in midfield.

Once the pressure isn’t on the pass the high line doesn’t work.

You’d trust Klopp to figure it out.

It was like the hammering at Villa a few years ago. But Villa had decent forwards who made each chance count.

You’d wonder if Klopp is trying to force the owners to spend by playing Milner. They might have to forgo the net spend trophy this year if they want CL football.

I did predict Liverpool would finish 6th. You could see last year the team are burnt out.

The core of the team have gone to the well for five gruelling seasons where nearly every game was must win. They also expended more energy than City due to style of play, less rotation and having fewer games put to bed after 30 minutes. A few of the Hall of Famers have hit a wall now and need more help from fresher legs.

At least most if them are playing themselves out of WC contention … A nice winter break.

How much did they spend in the summer?

27m

He’s talking about signings, not just inhalers.

Yes. They sold 72m and bought 99m… It’s very basic primary school stuff. 27m is what the owners spent.
