Is @carryharry saying Liverpool will win the CL this year? What game is he referring to that i missed?
Might be time to break the transfer world record again for the 3rd time for Klopp at Liverpool. 700 million now spent by Klopp at Liverpool must be the most heavily backed manager financially in history. In saying that he has delivered an exciting team but the fabled 1 in a rowers need some replenishing in midfield in particular now.
Could do with buying a midfielder but it won’t happen. Shades of 2020/21 where they failed to replace Degsy Lovren and all three CBs were crocked for the season.
Fabled 1 in a rowers is a fair summation. Liverpool = Tipp?
They like to do a bit of bidness in January. There might be a sneaky bid put in then but with the WC this year every player might be a tad over valued.
When people look back on this period in years to come and see Man City dominate the EPL as winners and Madrid do likewise in the Champions league the first question they’ll ask is who came second. That’s a legacy that 700 million spent on players buys you.
the footix are describing this as a glorious period in Liverpools history - have they really only won the league once? like the Leicester city foxes?
They could probably do with being a tad more pragmatic in the transfer market at times.
They had two midfield targets and wanted to sign both. One this summer, the other next - Tchouaméni (who ended up at Real Madrid) and Bellingham. There was that lad Nunes who ended up at Wolves, but perhaps that was just agent talk to drive up the transfer fee. But if you keep starting James Milner, who’s nearly as auld as myself, and a 19 year old in the middle of the park, there will be trouble.
footix turning on harvey now
what are up to now in the blame game?
harvey, milner, van disney, klopp, anyone else?
Liverpool fans gleefully discussing united carrying a 37 year old has been who intimidates younger team mates all week. If only Klopp had the balls of EtH.
They’ll have their targets but seem at ease to wait and not buy for the sake of it. The start to the season might change that… Is playing 55 year old Jimmy milner a ploy by Klopp to force the purse strings?
Again, though Elliott was one of the better players for Liverpool last night @Thomas_Brady. A big season for him but needs more support.
you cant just remove the knife out of his back like that mate
The famous Klopp index vindicated again. A shame he was robbed of last year tho.
Yep just the once for the “hall of famers”. Just shows how shit they were before Klopp came I suppose for the Irish footix to shame themselves so often on this thread. Leicester were a bit different though as they hadn’t broken the world record for money spent on a goalkeeper and a defender before they won the league.
Jimmy doing his best out there, but I think he’d be most effective coming on for last 20/30 minutes.
They were quite abusive towards Salah here last night too. They always turn on him when shit goes bad, even though he scored all their goals for 5 years. Not sure if @TheUlteriorMotive was amongst them, it’s unclear if he was or wasnt supporting last night.
The legs have gone on Hendo, Jimmy and probably Bobby. They were relentless 2016-19. They set the tone and standards. As i said last night, it’s probably the end of this version of the team with Sadio gone too.
he clocked out when sancho sent milner packing
Old Henderson defied the criticism of Ferguson. His gait didn’t stop him lifting all those trophies. A bona fide Hall of Famer.
