Liverpool Football Club 2025/26

He had no say on any transfers

That doesn’t affect the humour of it. Just the winning the league and then sacking him is unreal given how well run and smug they are in general.

The alternative is to leave him there and end up a complete basket case like Manchester Utd.

I hope the bald bastard turns it all around but they’ve been shit since last March . It’s a full calendar year now.

We’ve drawn with all 3 promoted sides but we haven’t lost to Leeds, Sunderland or Burnley.

Klopp was very shrewd with what he told the team in that televised dressing room speech after his last game. He said the side were primed to win, which ultimately proved prophetic. Then the powers that be ripped the title winning side apart. A more gradual transition might’ve allowed Slot to cog Klopp’s notes a little while longer. It’s telling that he’d studied training sessions from 2023/24 in an effort to maximise gains from small margins.

Failed to.beat is the same as a loss

Yeah maybe it will all turn out great. United thought they were acting decisively with moyes. But he hadnt actually just won the league.

Moyes had amassed 57 points when he was let go in mid April. That was deemed a total disaster with what had been a league winning team

Slot is coming to the end of March with 49 points…

Yeah but moyes didn’t win the league the year before a different manager did. Slot did win the league the year before and the manager before him didn’t.
I’m not sure what either of our points are here but it’s a great discussion.

Konate has seamlessly slid into the role previously held by Naby Keita.

Red, raw useless as Buff so eloquently puts it……

Playing the 17 year old off the right at first, I know Gakpo nearly scored but I thought that was mental. They need to ditch a load of these guys.

Big call, do they sell Sboz to Madrid for 150 mill

@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy a lot of the Footix gone to ground of late

Ah they’re active in the side group. There’s a lot of chat gone on in there and a vote on Slot’s future.

Be interesting if they stay there if Liverpool ever come out of this slump

Lads on here still being driven demented by the side groups :man_shrugging:

It was a fella in the aide group who brought up the side group. So are the lads in the side groups obsessed about the side groups?

I’ll try to get you an invite bro but I’m not hopeful :crossed_fingers:

@Aertel220 isn’t in the side group?

You bastards

A lot was made about the squad being weaker after last summers business but on the face of it most of them were upgrades bar Frimpong for Trent and Kelleher for Mamardashvili. The big one is Luis Diaz was never adequately replaced and you’re waiting on Rio to develop.

That Salah missed penalty was like performance art. Everybody knew Salah would take it and everybody knew where Salah would put it and everybody knew, especially Salah, that it would be easily saved.

It made Alan Browne look like Harry Kane.
