Football is about relationships on the pitch and relationships off the pitch.
There is no strategy and there is no plan. Liverpool are like Brian Cody ahead of the 2010 All-Ireland hurling final, they threw out every principle that had been established over the previous decade and more and just gambled blindly.
There was a huge element of hubris to it, it was as if the club hierarchy decided that winning Twitter flame wars over the Isak transfer would create a cosmic energy of invincibility. Almost Hegseth like.
Klopp understood that GOOD LADS are integral to success. Prime Klopp Liverpool overflowed with GOOD LADS.
Not many GOOD LADS these days. Discipline has broken down and itās all gone very narky and me, me, me.
That said, LADS will tend to be GOOD if they believe in the manager and tend to NOT be GOOD if they donāt believe in the manager.
Writing was on the wall since October⦠Slot is very tactically astute but i donāt think he has the man management skills required. But most of the players have been a disgrace⦠gutless stuff from them time and again .
He has to go now i think⦠if heās not gone before PSG i think thatās an admission by the owners that they are willing to go with out CL football next year as they are just gonna whimper to the end of season
Iād be more concerned the richest club in the world needs to put the writing on the upper decks to cover up the lack of fanbase. Itās not as though they were playing a league one side either
Itās incredible how much theyāve developed the Etihad since the COMS days. Incredible how the whole area has been rejuvenated in fact. I suppose while some clubs let the stadium fall down and hope to get another one for nothing and other clubs force the neighbours out of the homes, City have at least made good on their promises when they took on tenant ship of Eastlands
Hard to believe how fickle liverpool football club fans are. Can still win the biggest prize of all the Champions league and with their pedigree in Europe, only a fool would discount them
Anfield on a Wednesday evening creates a magic all of its own. Wouldnt be surprised to see them beat PSG. Then a S/F.
Tradition counts for so much in these competitions.
