For a few seasons around 2005 he was a rock. In recent years he hasn’t been as good but he’s still a legend.

Having said that, I thought he was very overrated as a player
I don’t think he was ever really rated as a player but he was a great servant to Liverpool over the years-he made the most of what he had and always gave 100% to the cause.
Liverpool must be regretting not going for Jackson Martinez during the summer, he has 18 goals in 17 games for Porto this season.
Carra always came across as a top bloke. Some man to hoof the ball but a brilliant wholehearted defender in his prime

Daniel is out tonight it seems with a slight strain… Rumoured team- Reina, Johnson, Agger, Carra, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing, Shelvey, King Luis. Coutinho in the squad- Shelvey ahead of Borini is the one that jumps out at me. I hope Jonjo has learned from his stinit on the bench and has sorted his attitude out.
I loved the bit in Carragher’s autobiography where he was giving out about foreigners coming to England and taking jobs away from English people. He seems like a really top bloke alright. :rolleyes:
