@TheUlteriorMotive I got that 10 euro Chianti in Lidl. Beautiful stuff. (Though an authentic Chianti should have a black rooster sticker on it).

Must try it out.

Was it you that put up the 7 euro bottle lately?

From Aldi ?

Possibly it was Aldi. Some savage value at the moment from both

Try the chianti from marks and Spencer - 13 euro. It’s as nice as wines 3 or 4 times the price

They are after gating off the off licence in SuperValu in Sutton and the Lidl in Portmarnock. Anyone know what’s going on here?

The final prong in this legislation is minimum unit pricing. It won’t be implemented until they do it in NI but potentially be in place by the end of next year. You’d be looking at 40 quid plus for a slab of beer cans

That’s up there with mot being allowed buy alcohol in a supermarket till 12.30 on a Sunday

They were doing a roaring trade in take away pints in the Elphin last night. Fellas queuing up to buy multiple pints and then getting in the car to drive home and drink them. Can’t see how that would be much better than a few cans.
