Pulsating first half down at the old ground.
Pats have played very well and could have scored a few more.
Wind and rain (which was behind Cork in first half) starting to ease.
Fantastic goal from Sadlier.
Be dissaponting if Pats don’t push on for the win
#greatestleagueintheworld
Ian Bermingham makes it 3-2 to Pats, the Junkies are safe if it all ends like this. Incredible turnaround.
Kurtis Byrne makes it 4-2, surely Pats are safe now.
Yes . I like pats .
4-2 full time at Richmond Park, gutless second half from Cork, pitch invasion too. I hope Galway equalise and fuck these idiots up.
Fuck you ya junkies bastard
im not in bray but conditions down there are atrocious per the whattsapp group
bray 1 up
Gary Shaw stretchered off needing oxygen (not from the fact that he is unfit) but a bad , bad injury
watched proceedings at inchicore there
Pats are a decent club, good community spirit and real football fans, great to see ould lads roaring a team on in the crowd and also at the end there loads of young people out there,
lads, Cork were awful
the defending for kurtis byrnes’s header was atrocious , just one example, yeah there were changes, that lad alan smith the ex-rangers keeper replaced McNulty in the sticks to end his record of 147 consecutive games, he was atrocious
the second half from cork was pathetic, dundlak will trounce them in the cup final
BTW @caoimhaoin did say they would scrape home i remember, he was right
in other news
St, Johnstone in for dave macmillan and robbie benson i believe
Kev was saying they were the best loi team ever
FT LImerick City 2 United 2
United denied a stonewall penalty in injury time.
We’re relying on Derry now.
Great result for the Saints.
Cork were very poor, even allowing for fact they had nothing to play for.
Since Maguire and O’Connor left they have been relatively ordinary.
Pats go again.
Garvan, Brennan and Jordi Bailk were 3 huge additions mid season without would probably be relegated already
so galway must beat dundalk and derry must beat pats…
galway are crap tho… fk em they’re done

FAI Board approves financial and facility assistance
The Football Association of Ireland has approved funding for the Shamrock Rovers Academy.
The FAI Board has agreed to financial and facility development assistance for the Shamrock Rovers Academy, which will receive a sum of €180,000 to support with the following:
– Completion of Phase One (natural grass pitches, FIFA Pro all-weather pitch)
– Completion of development plans for Phase Two (which includes a footballing building, 7-a-side pitch, outdoor gym, modular dressing rooms)
FAI CEO John Delaney praised Shamrock Rovers’ development plans by saying: “The FAI Board was hugely impressed by the level of ambition and strategic vision demonstrated by Shamrock Rovers when it presented its plans to the board.
“In approving significant support for Shamrock Rovers and the club’s development of its academy, the FAI is demonstrating an ongoing commitment to the continued development of this excellent facility, in line with the club’s strategic plan.”
Shamrock Rovers chairman Jonathan Roche welcomed the FAI’s support by stating: “We would like to thank the FAI for their assistance in our development of the Shamrock Rovers Academy and training centre, which is already into the second phase and proving to be hugely beneficial to our teams at all levels.
“Phase One has been a huge success for all involved and with the backing of the FAI and our partners at Roadstone Group Sports Club we can now complete the the second and final phase that will enable us to deliver on our strategic objective of providing the best possible pathway for player development in this country.
“The backing of the FAI in putting our five-year strategic plan into practice is essential to the future of the club and we welcome their support and assistance. This is an exciting period for the club and we look forward to our Academy helping to strengthen Shamrock Rovers FC as a whole.”
a pathway for your kid
Shamrock Rovers and Kildare District Underage League (KDUL) link up to pave the way for future stars of the League of Ireland.
Shamrock Rovers and KDUL have entered a partnership which sees both clubs working together to give children from Kildare a pathway to professional football in this country.
It is another exciting partnership at underage level following on from April’s announcement of Shamrock Rovers partnership with Corduff F.C. as the club implements its stated commitment of giving players every opportunity to fulfil their true potential.
Speaking on behalf of Shamrock Rovers, Shane Robinson (Academy Director) said that “At present we have a high number of players playing for Rovers who live in Kildare. This link up is a vital cog in our Academy plans and with the opening of our new training grounds location on the Naas Road this move makes sense for many reasons. Over the last six months we have played the KDUL Academy teams from U12 – U15 both home and away. It is obvious that the KDUL has some talented players within its system. It is our intention to work with them to give these kids a platform to showcase and improve their skills even further”.
Pat McNally, Secretary of the Kildare and District Underage League, said “We are delighted to be associated with Shamrock Rovers the biggest club in the Country. We have been working together since Christmas with teams playing one another. It has been a major step for us. We are delighted to see players from Kildare move on to Rovers and only last week Andrew Spain who played for Moone Celtic and was in the Kildare Kennedy Cup squad two years ago play for the Irish Under 16 team in the recent tournament in Castlebar. Shamrock Rovers have treated the League with respect in all our dealings and it is hoped to expand our relationship to training, fitness and health. This is a major decision for the Kildare and District Underage League and we look forward to players from Kildare playing alongside current member Gary Shaw a former player within the League”.
Sligo lead Derry 1-0.
As things stand Harps are down and Galway 90% likely to join them.
I normally walk into Terryland Park at half-time for free or for the last 20 minutes or so.
I’m going to do my bit by actually buying a ticket for a change.
Galway were one of the clubs that voted for the 3 down system this season.
The are reaping what they sowed.
Attendances in the first division are obviously far lower than in the premier. When we were in the first division last year there was pretty much no away fans all season long, bar Shels bringing a few.
Catastrophic to go down this season, of all seasons. Difference in finances of getting two home games in 2018 v ,say, Cork and Rovers versus two home games v Athlone and Cobh.
