Had this guy’s documentaries recommended to me so threw a few on the mp3 player. Must say I think they’re crap. Any thoughts, please feel free to add a comment below. Doesn’t have to be about Louis Theroux, it can be anything you choose.

The Vegas one is interesting, some auld wan playing the slots for eight hours a day everyday. She’s done about $5 million but loves it. The casino throw her the odd complimentary Diet Coke now and then.

I have heard that every fan going to certain cities in SA for the World Cup will be given a walkie talkie and they’ll be tracked to make sure they don’t go into any dodgy areas. Didn’t believe it at the time and I still don’t, but it is an extremely dangerous place and I couldn’t see myself going there if we qualify.
I’m gagging to go there. Have heard really good reports from people who’ve been. Thinking I’ll volunteer in Tanzania for a bit and then head to SA for the World Cup. That’d be sensational.
Been to ellis park, its only a 10 minute walk from Hillbrow which is a no go area for anyone with more than 2 bob in their pocket, good shoes or with white skin, couldn’t believe louix was walking round there he must have had some serious heavies with him.
THe Joburg programme last night was pretty interesting.
Theroux is classic bleeding heart liberal type and seemed shocked at the level of brutality that was evident. He couldn’t understand why a mob (literally) wanted to burn a local hired security/paramilitary/mercenary type who had broken some thief’s leg. Still the private security were tough boyos, they beat the shit out of some lads chasing another fellow down the street, and then beat the victim as well for good measure- all on camera.
In light of some of the shit that has happened in Dublin in the last 24 hours we may not be as far away from the SOuth African mentality as some might think.

Where is the massive public out cry over this shooting in Dublin? An innocent man has been shot been shot dead by a gang of teenagers and it’s barely made the front page of any of the papers?
I don’t know but its a fucking disgrace. A bunch of scumbag tearaways gun down an innocent man. Was it in the papers at all? I haven’t seen them, I got the impressino from the news this morning that it might have happened late enough compounded by the details only coming out even later.
