Trudy wanted it so bad when they got back to the house after this hilarious scene and Pete, being, well Pete, didn’t pick up on it!
Don’s return to work… “Ok” -brilliant.
Excellent epsiode that last one. I enjoyed it most of the new episodes in part two of this final season. Probably because there was so much of Pete in the episode. Also i LOL’d when the girls walked into the office and stood in a line while Roger was on the phone roaring laughing to some fella on the other end, looked like he hadn’t a care in the world, then when he gets off it then he says real deadpan “You’re all fired.”
Lots of magic realism in this week’s episode.
Don driving across the US in his suit giving a lift to a Tim Buckley lookalike somewhere in Nebraska.
Roger playing an organ in the deserted SCCP offices with Peggy roller skating behind him.

Peggy: “Would you drink Vermouth?”
Roger: " Yes, I’m afraid I would"
I think we’ve seen Don’s last scenes with Roger, Joan and Betty. Each one was very tocuhing.
I particularly like the one with Betty - “Knock 'em dead Birdie”.
Very good! Outstanding in fact
Matthew Weiner did an interview with NPR yesterday. For those arsed listening:

You guys try very hard but it will never be a top, top show.
It is sublime.
It’s a good show, but not a great show. Good shows deliver regularly, great shows deliver all the time…
Are you asking me if Don Draper could deliver on a cold, rainy night in Stoke?
Does Don like it up him?
If any of you are visiting the east coast of the United States between now and June I can’t recommend the Mad Men exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image highly enough.
It was surreal to stand in Draper’s office (from the Time & Life building). I could almost reach out and touch the Ad Age Awards from 57-59.

These also have a load of costumes. It was rather amusing to see the large front on the mannequin sporting Joan’s outfits.
How many episodes to go chaps?
2
Two episodes to go.
Just watched the second last episode. So many feels, what a show.
With the exception of the episode last week this series has been an unstructured mess.
Hopping from one random thing to the next.

Disappointing in the extreme.
