Pete ain’t gonna die in Manhattan now.
The ultimate betrayal.
As much as I love Pete Campbell the character I find it hard to understand how he’s accumulated so much value throughout the series.

Hopping from one random thing to the next.[/QUOTE]
It’s a half season designed to tie up some characters storylines. Watched in totality with the first half of the season it will flow better, AMC just got greedy.
Sunday’s episode was in the top 5 for me. A brilliant piece of work by Weiner. People go on about how depressing Mad Men is in it’s themes about life but I thought this episode was the most positive look at life we’ve seen from MM. The characters all made the correct choices for them and dropped the facades they show week to week. Sad as it was, it was very well done.
You mean professionally?
As an FYI last Sunday was Mother’s Day in the U.S. Puts the Betty news in a little context.
I thought it was a superb episode too.
Where are ya watching? Is sky up to date on this?
Sky airs the episodes the same week as AMC just on Thursday nights instead of Sundays.
I watched the first 4 on Sky on Thursdays but streamed the last couple early on in the week.

Cheers. Been watching with Sky catch up but they only have up to episode 7 up it seems.
Yes. There has never been much evidence of brilliance on his part, compared to any of the other characters who have had great success throughout the series. Is it supposed to be a comment on the privilege bestowed by his family name?
He’s an account man, a relationship guy. You’ll only notice someone in that role when a client isn’t happy.
He seems to have grown into it now but his company never seemed likeable, more likely to turn clients off than anything.
It’s available to episode 12 on my box, maybe not online.
Cheers. Have been using online, thought the content was supposed to be the same. Series 5 of GoT was empty last night too so maybe it’s a problem with the site.
outstanding episode
You’ll have the Love/Hate and Breaking Bad fans here shortly saying nothing happens, it’s too slow, it’s going nowhere but I think Season 7 Part 2 has been fantastic.
it’s a show about the journey rather than the destination. The script writing and character development to make that compelling has to be really top notch when compared to a more plot driven show such as Breaking Bad (which did in fairness have character development and was a reason it was so good). Most plot driven shows you get on a first viewing. I think Mad Men is a show that could be watched and studied and the layers only emerge in hindsight. It is along with that a very stylised show, depicting an iconic era of American history which also makes it so compelling.
I finished the show. I’m in mourning.
The final scene.
That ending was utterly brilliant. I can’t say the episode as a whole did it for me, but that last minute was genius.
