Major Incident In Bray

From The Bray People:

SPLASH BACK

WATER POOLING in front of a Vevay Road bus stop is being splashed up on to commuters and passers-by, when buses drive in to the puddle that forms there in heavy rain.

Those waiting for the bus to stop near to Kate’s Corner, are getting drenched in wet weather when buses pull up in to water collecting in front of the path.

‘A woman was half drownded the other day,’ reported a resident of the area. ‘The bus pulled up in to that stream of water and she was soaked.’

He said that at times the water will spray as far as the butcher shop window, several feet back from the bus stop.

‘They put a new top on that road and they did it wrong,’ he said.

‘Now the council is ignoring our complaints.’

Work was done to improve the pathway on that section of the Vevay a number of years ago but water now collects in a rivulet right in front of the pedestrian area. ‘When those heavy wheels hit the water it gets thrown up on whoever is passing,’ said the man.

‘The council probably paid big money for that but there is no money now to fix the problem.’

Lucky for that poor woman she only was only half, rather than fully, drownded.

Yeah the half drowned thing is retarded. Pity 'bout her. The minge bag,

“The man” sounds awful upset

someone is going to pay for this

The worrying thing is there’s probably people all around the country oblivious to how serious this situation in Bray is. There’s people arriving home from the shop with wet trousers, for fook sake.

This can’t be good for the butcher’s business either. I think TFK needs to get a reporter down there

I will be in Bray next weekend and will investigate fully. Hopefully we get some rain and I can see the full extent of teh spray. Will pack a life jacket.

I’ve alerted a mate who works in Bray and is also a keen amateur photographer, I might have some pictures of the scene early next week.

Excellent investigative work by the two gentlemen.

Sledge/Hangblaa, anything to report from Bray? My source in the area informs me that there’s been no follow up story on the puddle situation.

However, a painting was stolen from the local library though. It featured on Crimecall last week where the local garda made an appeal for the painting’s return. This next bit amused me. The garda said that the people who took it probably do not realise how valuable the painting is and, in light of this, he called for the perpetrators to return it.

It’s all kicking off in Bray, it seems.

Should have reported earlier Bandage, but last weekend was largely dry and as a result when I proceeded to the scene there was nothing like the puddle that had caused such havoc in Bray.

However, there was some rain since and my contact forwarded me evidence of just how bad things have gotten in Bray.

The locals must be seething.

Jesus, martial law will have to be declared in the sunny Bray

Classic Hangblaa.

Any engineer types around that could suggest how to solve this catastrophic issue?

I did notice tension in the air and something amiss when I was down there last Saturday for the jazz festival alright.

I dunno, a few sandbags maybe, that’s the muldoon in me coming out I guess

Best thread in a while.

Never realised how English Bray looks

I’m in no way taking any pleasure from this poor man’s predicament but some of us did warn that Bray was going to the dogs and nothing has been done about it.

Man critical after Bray shooting

Friday, 29 May 2009 14:56

A 32-year-old man is in a critical condition after being shot in Co Wicklow.

The attack happened in Richmond Hill in Bray at around 1am this morning.

Shots were fired through the second floor window of an apartment complex by two men on an external stairway.

Charles Sinanapayen from Bordeaux in France was found seriously injured inside an apartment in the complex. He had been shot in the head.

He was taken to Loughlinstown Hospital but was later moved to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Mr Sinanapayen’s girlfriend, who was in the apartment with him at the time, is said to be severely traumatised but otherwise unhurt.

Garda say the victim was not known to them and has no criminal convictions in Ireland.

No arrests have been made over the shooting, however garda have issued a description of the suspects and the scene has been preserved for technical examination.

Garda are seeking two men. One wore a black jacket, light-grey tracksuit bottoms, white runners and a blue baseball cap. He had his face covered and was of average build.

The second man wore a black top, black tracksuit bottoms, black shoes and was of average build and height.

They escaped in a silver car.

Anyone with information should contact garda in Bray on 01- 6665300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.

The worst thing about that story is the tracksuit bottoms and shoes. FUCK THAT!

It looks like people are laughing at the puddle.
Puddles are SERIOUS and cannot be taken lightly.
We had a puddle there on the road the other day and people laughed.
Next morning it was the puddle who was laughing.

People of Bray take note, before you push that puddle too far.
The half drownded victim is only the first warning.

Yours etc,
GSH.
