The funboys gone very quiet again I see

This is absolutely amazing.

Went to see the Angels on Monday night. They were playing the Mariners. Great to see Shohei Ahtani in action. Angels have fallen apart though in recent weeks with Trout and Rendon long term absentees.

In San Diego now for a few days. Hotel is a block away from PetCo Park. Might wander down and have a look at the Padres tomorrow night.

Padres are the ‘It’ team right now seemingly. Enjoy it.

That’s all starting to fall apart too since Soto trade. Fernando Tatis Jr got done for steroids last week too. Got an 80 game ban, even though it was apparently just an innocent mistake that came about in dealing with a ringworm problem.

Go down it’s a lovely stadium. Wild game Monday hope you stayed for the 9th

I stayed for it all. It was one of the most hapless displays of relief pitching (from Aaron Loup) I’d seen in a while. Aided as well by some comical fielding and a stolen 3rd base.

Yeah the rundown was comical. Encapsulates the angels, mental errors blow well played games. Similar outcome last night where Suarez was perfect through five and a third only to blow up then they went on to give up five runs on two outs in the ninth. Great to see Ohtani pitch though. I see Nat’s are in San Diego, putrid team but why not go down for a while. It’s a beautiful stadium with a very relaxed easy going home crowd, tickets will be for nothing I’d say. Definitely check out the coast if you can, can play Torrey pines too it’s publicly owned.

I went to see the Padres the last time I was in San Diego, 24 years ago, in 1998. That was also the last time they got to the World Series, losing to the Yankees.

Tony Gwynn was still there in 98, a serious technician at the plate

The curse of Joey Gallo is hitting my Yankees hard, they are 2-10 since the trade, LA are 11-1

Dustin May pitched for the first time in nearly a year and a half for the Dodgers last night in a 7-0 win over Miami. Lasted 5 innings. Gave up 1 hit, struck out 9 and walked 2. He retired his last 13 batters.

Did you go to the padres

I did. They stunk the place out.
