I was chatting to a fella a few weeks back and he made out UEFA have some bizarre rule they can’t investigate stuff further back than 5 years. He reckoned all the rules breaches were from 2014. So maybe that’s a part of it.

I think the problem was UEFA had already investigated the period under question and found no wrongdoing. Then the der Spiege leaks and suddenly a 30m fine and two year ban. This has done huge damage to UEFA’s reputation. That’s both City and PSG that have beaten UEFA at CAS
