Managerial Merrygoround Thread

Brighton had a 38yo called Bruno playing corner back, sure they were at nothing

Is Ray Houghton back in management?

When did he leave?

Brightons owner is a big numbers man… on expected goals and all that jazz they are basically last in the every category. They essentially fluked staying up. For a fella that’s made billions based on numbers it’s probably an easy decision.

The thing is who will he get to replace him and what budget is he going to give that manager? The thing is that clubs like Brighton will always have to be defensive first and try nick games unless the owner throws in a budget of 50 million and gets a big name manager. The next appointment will be sacked before Ole if he tries to change to a more attacking style.

Explain Wolves this season to us?

I’d imagine he’d have pretty much the money that Brighton could match any team in the premier league bar the top 6 if he saw fit. He seems the type that isn’t going to give anybody the money or be reckless with it. He’s an incredibly successful business man and wouldn’t be surprised to see the next manager lea Brighton to the top ten. Houghton has brought them as far as he’s going to.

It’s hard to know with that Bloom guy. Keeps his cards very close to his chest.

He’s got a great po po po poker face.

how do you make lady gaga cry?

poke her face

Gaga is a fascinating creature, the doc on Netflix is good.

That was one season, they’ve done well to exploit their links with the portuguese-speaking contingent, and they’ve been decent to watch. Sustaining it is the test.

I knew you’d like it.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Her Superbowl show was still shit.

In many ways Houghton would be an ideal appointment for Brighton.

A former player for them, has extensive managerial experience internationally and has managed a team to a European Cup final.

He’s 71 now though, and it’s a big ask at that age.

But it would certainly make for an interesting Railway Derby against Palace, managed by his close friend Roy Hodgson.

Allegri and Juventus parting ways.

Could Conte be heading back home?

Surely

Doesn’t seem like a happy camp at Juve since Cristy arrived

Barcelona are suppposed to want Allegri

Andrea Agnelli apparently doesn’t want Conte back

Surely they will go for him though unless Pochettino wants it

Tony Pulis has left Middlesbrough

Surely a shoo-in for the Brighton job

Allegri is an excellent, unstated manager who has the wherewithal and pragmatism to manage big clubs. Would be very surprised if he isn’t managing one of Chelsea, Man United, Bayern or PSG by the time the 2020/2021 season kicks off.
