Managerial Merrygoround Thread

Sunderland playing Chelsea at the weekend and with Ashley Cole out, Ryan Bertrand is going to have his work cut out for him, as rumour is that Sunderland are going to field 10 Right-Wingers.

Manuel Pelligrini being heavily linked with Chelsea today I see, he has done excellent jobs with Villareal and Malaga and was very harshly sacked by Madrid IMHO. Would be an interesting appointment

Pellegrini’s sacking led to a lost season for Royal Madrid. Compare the very attractive football they played under him to the often turgid fare under Mourinho, particularly in 2010/11.

I believe they had a record points total for second place under him, 95 or something like that. They played some lovely football under him alright and were only 4 or 5 points off Barca at their peak

96

That’s funny because Graham Hunter was telling OTB last night that Mourinho had more or less signed for Chelsea

The soap opera factor is why association football will always be king.

B-Rod to replace Roberto Mancini at Manchester City this Summer…It says so in The Mirror so it must be true.

It’s as good as done from what I gather. Jose is Anfield bound…

Stefan Effenburg looks set to take over at Schalke next season

Conte has been non-committal so far to Juventus, Gazzetta dello Sport are saying he wants assurances on two big players arriving this summer before committing. If he goes, I’m sure he’ll certainly be a leading candidate for some of the big jobs in Europe.

Hard to remember a season where so many widespread managerial changes are taking place at the leading European teams.

United and Bayern have already lined up new managers for next season.
Looks very likely Mourinho will leave Madrid as well.
Chelsea, City and Roma will all be looking for new managers in the summer.
Juventus, Milan, Inter and Napoli could also be looking for a new managers.

An extract from Effenberg’s biography.

Chapter entitled ‘What Lothar Matthäus taught me about Football’.

Pages were blank.

I met Stefan Effenberg, he was a cunt.

Expand on this please pal.

I had neighbors involved with Cork City back in the day and we all went in to meet Bayern Munich the night before (or after, can’t really remember) the game when they played City in 91. He was just the most ignorant cunt ever. Thankfully some of his team mates were much sounder.

what odds would you get on benitez being next Madrid manager?

he would have been 23 for fuck sake… and listening to that rotten Cork accent…and some 13 year old telling him to work on his core…he shouldn’t be judged on that…

He has always gone out of his way in public appearances to come across as a first class prick. He was a smashing footballer though, like a Scholes with passing ability.

He was an arrogant ignorant cunt. What has his fucking age got to do with it. The rest of his team mates were very happy to mix with everyone.

I know your dying to have a go at anything I say as I embarrass your intelligence frequently, but you should really wait for something you actually know what your talking about.

when in Rome Cork…
