Managerial Merrygoround Thread
An extract from Effenberg’s biography.

Chapter entitled ‘What Lothar Matthäus taught me about Football’.

Pages were blank.
Always came across as very arrogant. Wasn’t he sent home from the world cup in 1994?

The irony of somebody from Cork complaining about an arrogant prick who played in midfield and walked out on his country at a World Cup.

Sent home/walked out - not sure.

Good player though.

His interview with Tommie Gorman was priceless as well.

I see Gus Poyet has been suspended by Brighton.

What for?

An alleged breach of contract. He’s been told to stay away from the club. Hi sbackroom team have been suspended too, he’s finished there.

Hop on the bus, Gus
You don’t need to discuss much
You don’t need to be coy, Poy
Just get yourself free

Calling Sidney. You’ll be thrilled to hear that Sky Italia are reporting that Napoli have offered Benitez a two year deal.

In other news, Allegri and Milan will meet on Wednesday to decide their future. I don’t see Allegri leaving unless he is pushed. My gut feeling is that Allegri will stay one more season with Milan (he has a year to run on his contract) and they will look to replace him Prandelli after the 2014 WC.

There goes Jose

A statement read out on Italian TV last night that purportedly came from Berlusconi effectively said that Allegri would be fired. Milan have came out and denied this statement but the TV show are adamant that it is legitimate. There seems to be a bit of a divide at Milan on Allegri, Berlusconi doesn’t seem to be a fan of his while the press are speculating that Galliani wishes for him to be retained. They are meeting on Wednesday to decide on his future.

Martinez was also linked with the Napoli job today, might not be a bad choice as he employs a very similar tactical system to that of Mazzarri.

allegri is a great coach

Looks like Tony Pulis is leaving Stoke.

To where though, Everton? Swansea if Laudrup is on the way out?

Pulis is a hard manager to evaluate. His teams play a shit brand of football but he has kept them in the Premier League and for that he must be commended. Can’t see Everton wanting him though, surely.

He has spent a huge amount of money at Stoke, mainly on overpriced flops. Shit manager

Cannot question that chewy louie, but he has kept them up all the same.

Alan Pardew is now the second longest serving manager in the EPL.

Brendan Rodgers is fifth.

He is perfect for Everton.

Fuck off…
Thanking you

A cunt for a shower of cunts. Perfect for a mid table side.
