The impatience over the transfers is hilarious. They coukd easily end uo with De Jong, Eriksen, Pau Torres and Anthony for Ā£120m. Fans expecting another Van Gaal-esque spree that the club have been fucked because of ever since.

In fairness to Van Gaal, Di Maria had just won Real the Champions League. Blind had excellent pedigree, Depay was one of the top prospects of that time and Falcao was worth the risk for what he might have been. Rojo was the real dud.
That window was good business on paper. The club and LVG was to blame for their handling of Di Maria. He was a top player everywhere else he was.
IMO the main problem with di Maria is he didnāt want to be at Utd, but Madrid forced him out to sign Rodriguez.
Could be a similar story with de Jong this summer. Heāll probably sign if they throw enough money at him, but he doesnāt look too enthused about it
