Manchester United 2022/23 - The Reign of ETH

Very bleak. Need new owners to come in and build a new stadium to rival real madrids. We could be In Administration if the glazers stay.

The fans demanded lavish signings such as Ā£100m for Anthony as well as the failed attempts for Nunez and De Jong and are miffed when even generous owners like the Glazers begin to feel the pinch :man_shrugging:

How are the glazers feeling the pinch? They are still going to take a dividend out.

Itā€™s only a few years since United were delighted with themselves at being listed.

Looking at Antony so far, he is going to struggle. Bar the Arsenal goal, he has contributed nothing in general play. He has a nice left foot, but he looks underpowered in terms of pace and core strength.

He also dwells on the ball rather than running directly at his man, a huge no-no in a modern winger. A very similar player to Ziyech at Chelsea. If he is anything, he is a number ten, nobody plays that system any more now.

Weā€™ll see. Id be underwhelmed as well but ETH was determined to get this fella and in him webtrust so hopefully theres moee to come when he settles.

Anderā€¦son son son,
Heā€™s a midfield magicianā€¦

True, he might just see football differently to the typical modern winger, turn, run, cut inside shoot. He definitely has an eye for a pass.

Heā€™d remind you of Riyad Mahrez, lovely style and technically great but when it matters they really donā€™t have it

Iā€™d say Mahrez is a step above for now. He was footballer of the year when Leicester won the league. Antony has a flashy looking technique but Mahrez is pretty much technically perfect in terms of ball control.

Its going to be interesting to see. I find some of Antonyā€™s stuff very herky jerky and forced looking, Mahrez touch is very smooth. Iā€™d take that if he was as good as Mahrez.

Like early days CR7?

Hopefully pal. He might just be an attacker with a different view of the game. Iā€™m kind of conditioned to Mo Salah type wide forwards, that play narrow that are basically strikers.

Heā€™s some talent

A sparrowfart of a ladeen. Heā€™ll need the juice Messi was on

One of @KinvarasPassionā€™s U12ā€™s would make solid shite of him.

1999 was a very good year.
