@croppy_boy has put in some shift all summer keeping us all appraised on every nuance of the Man U transfer window. Itās really appreciated.
Were you expecting something different in the Man Utd thread?
@BruidheanChaorthainn Looks like Eriksen, Martinez and De Jong could be confirmed in the next few days.
Do we think there might be some other additions to the squad? I reckon ETH might try add a right back as well.
Ā£85 million is saucy enough and 400k a weekā¦
Did united pick up Barcas tab on Frenkie?
A mighty sound gesture
A lot will depend on Ronaldo Iād imagine.
A severe lack of coaching over the last few years could see lads improve immeasurably under ETH.
The way they leathered Liverpool after only having 3 days off passing a ball around under Ten Hags watch will have the rest of them fearing for their existence.
Klopps teeth nearly fell out with the shock.
Cant see anywhere else tempting CR7 after Bayern and PSG ruled it out. Never know with PSG I suppose.
If it did happen Iād say they move for Antony.
Iām amazed Liverpool havenāt tried to sign a midfielder. They were embarrassed in midfield v Real Madrid. Theyāve spent two hundred million on jota, Diaz and Nunez and sold a much better forward saido mane for 30 million. It makes little or no sense.
Henderson and Kieta arenāt good enough and Thiago is very injury prone.
If they got a proper midfield Iād be worried but looks like theyāll just keep buying forwards they donāt need.
I think Klopp is doing the correct thing bringing in those forwards. He is getting them in before he has a screaming need for them and they have time to bed in. Mane wanted to go and origi and miramino moved on. Firmino is gone back a fair bit so the forward signings make sense. And they are still only spending the coutinho money.
Fair point on the midfield. They are very workman like in the main apart from Thiago. Young Elliott might make the leap this year but they could have looked to get another player in there. lads like henderson has a fair few miles on the clock now.
Iāve told you this before itās a net zero given the money they made selling branded tea towels last year.
Saucy when referring to price is a great phrase though
Thatās a great bargain getting those 3 for ā¬2 million. Like a deal from the late 1970ās.
200 million
Am I hearing that they are also paying wages owed by Barca? The Glazers need to put manners on these hotshot solicitors if so!
That appears to be incorrect. As per Fabrizioās initial tweet, which was verified by the The Athleticās Laurie Whitwell, the transfer package is a total of ā¬85 including all potential bonuses.
Thereās no additional provision to pay extra wages.
It has been speculated that this is currentky being negotiated between De Jongās representatives and Barcelona. Thereās no official confirmation of this yet though.
Thanks for the clarification. In that case the solicitors have done a great job securing a top talent for Ā£85m. Barca are as bad as Leeds in the early noughties for mismanagement.
He might want to take a percentage they offer and just fuck off because there must be a chance this incarnation of Barcelona is liquidated with the way its being run.
ā¬85m.
The Euro sign appears to be broken on your keyboard mate.
Some excellent auditing on the De Jong deal yet wild figures thrown around for Nunez with impunity. By God!
