For what itās worth I wouldnāt blame him for wanting to stay, given the wages heās owed. Itās hard to see how Barca will be able to register all of the new signings though.

If I was buying into the speculation on him wanting to move I would say that itās highly unlikely that De Jongās agent hung around Carrington for a few days prior to Murtough and Arnold travelling to Barcelona with saying he was open to a move.
